I'm okay. Things have been rough in recent months with my health (and financially because of everything with my health). I haven't had much time or energy for fandom in general.

I actually haven't watched the last couple of seasons. I'm behind on it and most everything else to be honest. 😅😓 Life kind of kicked me in the face. I've had no desire to catch up as it stands. I haven't watched much tv at all. I mainly watch documentary style videos and the news and things on like... YouTube when I have the time.

When I do finally catch up, it'll probably be because I have the time and space and physical energy to finish my podficcing projects that have been on hold.

Most of what I know about recent 9-1-1 is from the random gifset when I do get on or from @leothil and Nova in DM. I'm so outta the loop on everything. LMAO. I know Ravi and May shippers got their moment (Idk if they're still a thing), Buck was kidnapped, Bobby died, Athena went to space with Hen, Buck and Tommy broke up and like... that's about it off the top of my head. 🤣

I do miss the hyperfixation days sometimes! They were fun! It's interesting when I get on because some of the people I met in that fandom are still full speed on 9-1-1, but so many aren't. A lot has changed.

I was just going through open tabs and came across "Of Hoards and Heartsongs"

And I literally was talking to someone about this the other day cause they were like... Oh I read a dragon Jaskier fic and I immediately went... Oh the one where he visits them with Geralt?

Like I've been meaning to revisit this one cause it's been a while since I read it/listened to the podfic but it's def one that stuck with me.

Now I came across it again and I looked at the author's name and was like THE FUCK!???

LMAO yup I have written Witcher fics! I have written for quite a few non-911 fandoms in my day including in the last few years, I've written a Wednesday fic as a gift for a friend, wrote about six Xedgin fics and have one more planned, and recently fell into a rarepair rabbit hole.

I have a question about one of your wonderful fics

I recruited a friend to watch 911 and they're also now a Buddie shipper

They asked for Buddie fic recs but they're not even half way through s2

So I'm going through my bookmarks and see if I can find anything that doesn't spoil too much

And even though I've read it (and fucking loved it so much!) I can't remember anymore if "when it's you I'm with" contains any spoiler about big moments in their lives that will happen in the show

If you can remember, could you tell me?

Hello and YAY for recruiting friends!! So, I just skimmed the fic, and I *think* the only spoilers would be 1) Eddie mentions the Afghanistan rescue that we don't see in the show until S3, and 2) the beginning of Maddie's interest in Chimney, which might not be a big deal depending on exactly how much of S2 your friend has seen. Mostly, the fic itself is an AU of S2, and I don't really weave canon events into it (I don't think?). Maybe? That said, there might be other people more familiar with my fic than I am, so I'll ask here. If any of y'all remember details about when it's you i'm with (everything goes quiet) (aka silent!Eddie), will you please let us know where there are spoilers for the show?

My fic brain is pretty exhausted right now (as it has been since the end of S6 because real life unfortunately exists) but we’ll see if I have the time and energy as we get closer to the episodes. At this point, I’m kind of more buzzing with anticipation and eager to see what actually happens than wanting to write fic—

That said though, my general spec based on the titles (the lyrics—I screamed) and the writers and what little bts we’ve gotten is a Buck-centric episode with some sort of queer Buck acknowledgment followed by an Eddie-centric episode (Taylor Wong my MOST beloved) that I’m assuming is where we get whatever Bobby-Eddie talk from that still and some perspective on where Eddie’s head is at (which I imagine is Mess because there’s still half a season left). Regardless though, imo with the change in network we’re finally getting off the hamster wheel for both of these two and Buddie canon is coming.
