It’s been a very long time since she’s spoken last.
Since she threw herself into the sun, in fact. Whispered a single word --- bye --- and gone silent after and stayed silent since. And yet here she is, shaking his shoulders and gasping his name, frantic and breathless and woefully out of practice, but HER VOICE.
“Shadow! Shadow!!”
( absently, she realizes she’s never spoken in front of him. if he’s even alive, will he know her voice? )
