I’ve been reading a lot of comfort fics lately. Things that are warm and snugly and often involve everyone lives in the tower!Avenger movie night! goodness. This fic looks like it’s been dipped in honey and rolled around in a pile of my favourite guilty-pleasure-except-not-at-all-guilty tropes.

Featuring hurt/comfort, Identity Porn, Arranged Marriage and Steve’s delight in lacy, ruffly shirts that show off his nipples.

Just a quick CW - the sexual element to their relationship comes quite quickly and while both of them are consenting, Bucky is arguably not in a state to properly consent.

Things are changing and staying the same at the Stark farm.  James and Steve adhere to the old ways, while Pepper spearheads a restoration of the farmhouse and environs.  It's a win-win for them, and a frustration for Tony, who really wants to modernize the joint.

But Pepper's purpose is to offer exhausted Avengers the same kind of R&R that helped Steve.  By keeping things peaceful and quiet, she hopes that shattered and tattered spirits will be lifted in the rural tranquility.

Hope to make this a Thanksgiving gift to Alby and Chaosmanor.   There's more to come, maybe a chapter or two, before this bit of the series is complete.  It just seems fitting to have a (nonreligious) Thanksgiving on the farm in Vermont!

Coming in later installments; James has a surprise for everyone: Natasha makes a decision, Sam critiques Steve's turkey roasting expertise, the Avengers meet the family, and, hopefully, everyone has something to be thankful for! 

It starts out G rated, but I guarantee it ain’t gonna stay that way!  ☺

Chapter 15! 

The Family Way

Finally finished!

Love Through The Looking Glass by L1av and HopelessGeek (wuzzy90), the inspiration and "first chapter of the first chapter" of this work.  I suggest you read it before tackling my story, or you might scratch you head and say "whaaaaat?"

Being one who hates "the end", I let my imagination take their work a bit further.  If an extra Steve, why not an extra Bucky?  A Bucky who came from an Earth and a time similar to Timely Comics' Captain America and Bucky of the 1940's. Always loved those mags, and very, VERY early on wanted them to have some kind or relationship (I was only a kid then, didn't know anything about sex).  Just wanted them to stay together forever!

Well, if one wants, one can have, in AO3.  So my Bucky Bear Buck is being rescued by MCU Steve.

I decided to finish this story so I could work on some other ideas.

But, as I think I mentioned before, I'm not a fan of "The End".

So, while this is finished, it is by no means ended.  I encourage you, dear reader, to send inspiration for vignettes, little day trips into the Barnes-Rogers household to observe and relate what moves you.

All I ask is that the requests are kind to them.  I'm a lover, not a fighter, and I think our Steves and Buckys would prefer to be as well.  Better people than I are far more skilled at dealing with war, controversy and angst.  I will not presume to be of their caliber
