"I look at you and the world goes numb: I see your eyes and the stars are gone. You're my world; my cosmos, my everything. For you, I'd do anything."
Roxanne didn’t know if the shiver down her spine was from the cool evening breeze that brushed against her fur or the way his words swam through her. With the ripple came a warm glow bubbling inside her stomach which escalated her heart beat. Her eyes met his emerald ones, the glow of the moonlight reflecting off of them. It made her own widen as she fell mesmerized by his enticing words.
Roxanne never knew what love was before. It was so foreign because she never allowed herself to feel it in the past. Taking a chance wasn’t her best deal because it wasn’t in her best interest. But going on a year long adventure with Sonic proved her wrong. Their relations began to grow with their continuous times together ever since the day Sonic held his hand out to her with a wink to take over the world together. He had taught her so much about herself and how to rely on others. One run around the world was enough to change her perspective on life around her, especially now that Sonic played an active role around it. Even with that, they were just relations.
As time past, Roxanne could feel something brewing between them. Their nights together began fairly quickly the moment she gave herself to Sonic. Soon after, it turned into days together as well. Sonic wasn’t shy when it came to his affection which Roxanne loved because all she wanted was to give it back. Their year long adventure had hit their the final lap. Two months before the year was over and Roxanne could finally allow herself to admit she was in a great spot with the hedgehog she loved right by her side.
She was such a sap feeling tears prickling in her eyes. She wanted to stop them but one or two fell regardless. Her breath was still taken away moments after she sat in silence to marinate his words. Her orange waves blew lightly in the breeze as the stars illuminated the color. Her bashfulness made her want to look away and deny what he said. But his eyes spoke another truth, that’s why she couldn’t rip her sight away from them. Slowly, she leaned forward. Roxanne didn’t have any words to say to that – she couldn’t even top his words. All she had were her actions. Her plump lips slowly brushed against Sonic’s, the saltiness of her tears coating and sealing between them. But it was an afterthought as she expressed her love through the secureness of her kiss. If there was ever a doubt he had about mutual feelings, she’d hope this obsoleted his concerns.
Roxanne wanted him now than ever - and she wasn’t letting him go.
