“… For you. I wanted to know what your favorite ones are so I don’t get the wrong kind for you.”

“...O-Oh.” Sonic blinked, a faint pink ghosting along his muzzle. What a kind gesture-- And so unexpected from Shadow! Why the sudden gift? His birthday was way back in June, and Christmas wasn’t for another month... Had he done something in particular that pleased the black hedgehog? He couldn’t tell... Perhaps that was why the gift was causing him to feel a little flustered.

“Well, I’m not really fussy! I guess I really like forget-me-nots, though. Ooh, and hydrangeas! Gerbera daisies and lilies are pretty up there, too... An’ orchids-- See? I can’t pick! Hehe. That’d make for a weird bouquet... Just go with your heart, man, an’ I’m sure I’ll love it! Don’t worry so much about the perfect flowers. I wanna see what you’ll come up with on your own!”

Sonic was smiling now. “Thanks, Shadow. That’s really sweet of ya! But what’s the occasion? Christmas ain’t for a while!”
