I did a three card draw and pulled the 6 of Swords, Moon, and 6 of Wands.
This particular 6 of Swords card has the word science and an open book on it. In general this card has connotations of stuff like research and deep thinking, and in your specific case the word "library" jumped out at me and will not get out of my head now.
The Moon says something is hidden here, possibly deliberately. I don't think it's you who's doing the hiding or the repressing though.
Finally the 6 of Wands is symbolic of victory over struggles, and this particular deck points out that this card is associated with the planet Jupiter in astrology. Jupiterians are social and friendly and cheerful, and I think it's saying embodying a bit of that energy would go a long way.
So overall what this says to me is your best shot is looking in groups of nerdy and creative folks-- it may not literally be folks who meet at the library, but it could be that you'll bond over books. Put yourself out there and try to be outgoing if you can!
I also think you should be patient. It may take a while because the other folks from your past life might not be very open about being kin for whatever reason, or they may actually be actively repressing the thought that they might be.
