it’s becoming a bad habit for billy to play sentient life-force in a haystack. picking apart the universe for one thing, one person. something in his chest doubts, that this might be some kind of cruel joke played from the queen of the underworld, and that he’ll pick up the loose ends of a godling from another reality, or the left-overs of this one. so not ready to stomach that. but loki’s little light blips into billy’s vision. real, tangible. bright but flickering, faulty. he’s relieved.
his magics TWIST and TWIRL on themselves, lifting him out of one gravity and into the next. out of the night-time shadow of the avengers mountain and into loki’s orbit. figures he’ll make an entrance about it. he drops back onto solid ground, the white-light of his eyes fading out into a scowl, a hard-set jaw. not dead. might just die, if they don’t have something good as an explanation. ❛ hey you. long time no see. ❜
