Hello there! Um since english isn't my first language, can you maybe give explanation what Tsuyu said in the newest chapter? I've been reading it a few times yet I still don't really get what she is talking about. All i knew is that i cried seeing Tsuyu cried ._.

Hi @asakajou, thanks for the question. I understand it can be very confusing (I was confused at first too, mainly because I was distracted by Tsuyu’s tears ;_;) But anyway, here’s the gist of it…

Tsuyu feels guilty.

She feels frustrated at herself and that also made her sad.

But why would she have all these negative emotions? Like she said to Izuku, “Do you remember what I said back at the hospital?” For context, here’s the exact page in Chapter 84:

And at the very next page:

What does it mean? This is the last time Tsuyu talked to all of them until they all met again at the dorms. Then at the dorms, Aizawa drops the news that five of her classmates went through breaking the rules in attempt to rescue Katsuki.

I think this is the most important part to take in all of that. Tsuyu feels guilty for saying a very aggressive line, “That kind of behavior is no different from a villain.” It was true, but also harsh, and even though she said it out of her worry and concern, she feels like it was her cowardice that pushed her to say it like that in her desperation to stop them.

After their hospital visit and until they went back to school, I can imagine Tsuyu mulling over her words that day because there’s no real closure, isn’t it? After she said it, they immediately get interrupted by the doctor. Can you imagine yourself saying something brutal and regretting it later, but unable to do anything about it? Maybe Tsuyu thinks she could’ve said it better, I don’t know, but I do think she feels somewhat regretful with her choice of words even though her intention is good.

This is why at the dorms, she can’t really act “normal” like how she used to, because she remembers what she said to them. If I was Tsuyu, I would be so devastated because I’ll be flooded with thoughts like, what if things went wrong during their rescue mission? And the last thing I said to them was they’re acting like villains. I doubt Tsuyu thinks like this though, but I bet the feeling is somewhat similar.

So yeah, I think in the end, Tsuyu just wanted some closure, and that’s why she also said “I want to have a proper conversation to set things straight.” In a way, she just wanted to express to them that she’s not condemning them and their actions or decisions, she’s actually really worried over them. Ochako backed it up by saying “Instead of blaming them for what they did, we should just all laugh it off together.” And have everything go back to normal.

How would you rate the rooms of this chapter? and honestly i did wonder about what it would take for Tsuyu to cry... although I really didn't want it to happen

About the girls’ rooms, based on my initial prediction I think I got around half of it (kinda) right! So I’m very happy about it!

I love their rooms!! So so much. Did you see the clock on Kirishima’s room?

Shouji surprised me the most to be honest. I honestly thought he’d be like a regular kid but why did his room have to be so bare?

Sero has the best interior design for me! But Todoroki worked hard to remodel his so I guess he deserves a commendation. In the end I guess nobody can win against Satou’s cake.

About Tsuyu… it really did break my heart seeing her cry. I realize she’s the most empathetic classmate they have so I understand her reaction. Seems like she was really worried about all of them and I am so glad they apologized for what they did.

I guess that ends the Slice-Of-Life Dorm life... We’re now back to “Heroing” again! I wonder what moves they’ll come up with though? It should be very interesting!!

But the character interactions this chapter is so, so good. I love it! So much!!! THESE KIDS!!!!!!!

CHAPTER 99 SPOILERS

Spoilers under the cut

Tsuyu is crying is because she’s so worried about her classmates who went after Kacchan. Even though it’s already ended of course one couldn’t help but still feel worry, like what if things went wrong.

The rescue group (Deku, Todoroki, Momo, Iida and Kirishima) apologized to her.

Ochako said that they shouldn’t discount everybody else’s feelings because they all care for each other.

They saw everybody’s room except Kacchan (sleeping) and Tsuyu.

In the end, Satou won the room competition.

Then when they go to class they’re finally having the license exam which has apparently a 5% passing rate.

Aizawa said that 2 lowest will definitely get expelled (probably from just Heroics).

Edit: Apparently the spoiler was wrong, it was talking about making 2 special moves (How far-off is that??? LOL)

What I love most about him is his kindness. Some may say that after the arc about his past, they fall in love with him. That’s partly true for me. However, I dont want anyone to think that we’re pitying him. Just look at the present and can still love him the same. The way he silently observes others, the way he holds everything so that he doesn’t hurt anyone, they all show that he is a warm and caring person (not to mention he is so manly and cute at the same time)

Well, before I realized it this really has become a small essay huh Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ

P/s: He looks so cool that I don’t even want to resize this Ọ.Ọ
