As he shut the door and turned around, he also remembered Vassa and Jurian were standing behind him. 

“What?” He held the ivy plant close to his chest, glaring down at the smiling humans. Vassa was practically vibrating from excitement as she launched herself to embrace him in celebration. 

It was Jurian who leaned against the wall, shaking his head. “What is it,” Lucien pressed again flatly. 

“Oh, nothing.” Jurian all but sang. “Except, you’re absolutely fucked.”
