Curious of what Sebastian looked like in the 18th century as young men at that time like Modri Vladis preferred to wear their original hair long with ribbons and curls.

Of course, at the end of the day, it didn’t really matter what S looked like as he was as brazen and as ruthless and dangerous and as nothing (like a new recordable CD) as he’s always been. But yes, he has predilection it seems for really young people. Lady Anna was not even 18.

Although his powers then were somewhat extravagant where he could affect weather and weave magic before their very eyes, Jesus-like, serving Ciel has made him a formidable (and even respectable) human.

Small thought...but could it be only certain people can See a demon's true face?

I was thinking about Mordi and Sebastian recently, namely how he could recognize him.

Based on their meeting it seems he knows Sebastian, but many are speculating that Undertaker may have warped these memories of his, or altered them to let him think it was Sebastian, as we have a blurred out form of the character as shown in Chapter 224 (I think).

The thing is that in the Public School arc, Edward noted that he didn't recognize Sebastian, to the shock of Ciel, to whom Sebastian looks normal.

Edward didn't recognize Sebastian at all. But the ones that did were Francis and Lizzie. This has me thinking two things.

Could it be that, if Sebastian was the one that was the demon that Mordi is remembering, because it is an option given the whole scratch out done by Yana as part of her covering up for it in story and giving more of a mystery, then are the ones that are contracting to the demon able to see past their glamor?

Elizabeth and Francis have something similar to Ciel with their eyes, where they can see certain things. Lizzie saw Grelle. Francis can spot Sebastian anywhere. And Our Ciel could see Luger and Sasha in Germany when they didn't want to be seen. There's a hint going on here with the three of them, where I think because (if Undertaker is Cedric) they were born with Reaper blood in them, they might be able to see things others can't. If this is the case then this might explain why it is that no one else questions Sebastian regarding his disguises, as they are seeing a glamorized version of Sebastian, while someone like Francis can see through the look he puts himself in. This could also be why Mordi is so sure Sebastian is the demon. While he can't lie to Ciel, he can obfuscate the truth by not revealing everything. If Ciel doesn't ask the right questions, then he can't give him the right answer. So it could very well be that Sebastian honestly doesn't realize who Mordi is. Or, it could be that he doesn't recall due to the look being so different and he might not remember much about the souls that he's devoured before then. He may not have taken Mordi's soul either, leaving him as the memory of the event. Could it be the Glamor doesn't work on Mordi either the same way it can't work on Francis or Lizzie? If so...then why? The contract idea, or does he have something in his blood now that lets him see past the glamor that Sebastian wears.

Just read chapter 225 and I have thoughts.

SPOILERS ALERT

So, the demon's face and name are still redacted.

Interestingly, we didn't get to see the lady's face either for some reason.

At first, I thought that Modri might have a bad memory, but that lady meant a great deal to him (probably the love of his life) and there's no way that he's forgotten her face while remembering her father's face or even the groundskeeper's.

I wonder what's the connection here.

We also learn that the demon (who might or might not be Seba) can grow wheat overnight. Did he think this whole thing is Stardew Valley? Ciel wouldn't need to worry about food. Seba can grow turnips in 3 days and potatoes in 5.

On the more serious note though, I doubt that the demon could grow the wheat overnight. There has to be a trick somewhere.

I know that there's a very high chance that this demon is indeed Sebastian. There's no way that we're getting several chapters telling us about some random demon. And of course, the cover page has pretty much confirmed it.

Having said that, I wonder why Seba couldn't remember Modri. I've mentioned before that he has an eidetic memory and although a few centuries might've passed since Seba lived in Stardew Valley, there's no way that he's forgotten completely about Modri. But then again he's an idiot.

And of course,

There are still so many questions about Modri. Who/what is that being that lives inside him? How did he manage to look the same after centuries? There's no way that he's normal. Is he Polaris?

I also have another theory about the demon. What if the demon that showed up in his true form was indeed Seba, but Mister [Redacted] is a different demon?

All I can say right now is that Modri is a very unreliable narrator. He can't remember much of whay happened and how some people looked like.

My last point...

For the life of me, I cannot figure out where the contract mark was. Is it at the back of his neck? It certainly doesn't look like a hand.

Overall, this chapter is okay. We get more glimpses of the supposedly Sebas.

The plot thickens, yet the duo aren't anywhere closer to the truth.

The contract seal being on the back of this guy's neck…Hm. I wonder if this is Sebastian's CONTRACTOR rather than Sebastian himself. Perhaps he asked for the ability to grant wishes. Maybe Sebastian takes on the appearance of previous contractors…Spooky!
