I love Bartolomeo so much. He's a prime example of "Don't judge a book by its cover," because our first impression of him is pretty shit ngl. Like wtf is this low-life doing taking a piss in the middle of a battle? Or beating the shit out of the undercover Marine dude (I forget his name).
But then we get him going all fanboy over Luffy and that seems to be his redeeming quality.
Even Barto himself says he's rotten but dammit he still has standards!
I mean I can't imagine anyone who truly admires Luffy being someone who wouldn't help and protect those who are important to them or just the innocent in general. Luffy claims he isn't a hero, but time and time again he plays the part. And if Barto wants to bask in Luffy's glory then he's sure to pick up some of Luffy's tendencies right?? Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part idk.
