How I’m feeling editing this chapter

I feel like I’ve done nothing even though I’ve added an extra two hundred words… 😞

Currently on chapter 5 while editing the main fic and I now want to create more lists of all the characters in this fic, alphabetical, sorted by temple and when in the fic they appear in, back story and all that…

The “all characters” list is already long😫

(What about a list of all the books jamyang refers to while speaking? Nononono- I need to sleep)

Writing Log: Day 3

Today, I got some feedback on a chapter I’ve been writing. I had one of my friends read chapters blind (I usually send them each chapter as I finish it), and then send me feedback. For instance, chapter one of this particular novel required some major rewrites to make it more understandable and more immersible. This chapter (chapter two) only had the comment of paragraphs needing to be edited for smooth flowing-ness. I haven’t edited in the changes yet, but I think this particular chapter is one where I’m going to have to step away from it for a little while to be able to spot the changes that need to be made.

In the meantime, chapter three is coming along nicely. I’m still not sure how I want to get to the next plot point (which is a major one, since it gets the story moving significantly - yeah, I’m taking it slower than a lot of stories I find these days, but I don’t want to overwhelm the reader with the otherwise required info dump). Taking a nap today seems to have revitalized my brain juices. And it would probably help more if I watched less YouTube. Hmm. 

Edit: Soon after I posted this, my brain kicked into activity. Within a few minutes, I had the basics of plots for two more books in the series (I had only been planning two until this point).

Still no idea how to achieve my next plot point, though.
