These came out a bit smaller than I expected but hopefully they’ll still be usable :/

Floral Numbers
More numbers here
I've been thinking a lot about how many marines a Space Marine chapter actually has.
There's a lot of guys that aren't included in the "1000 marine" limit. Each company has a command squad and standard bearers/ancients, and then there's the specialist branches of the Apothecarion, Armory, Librarius, and Recclusiam, and then the Honor Guard, a bunch of officers, and all sorts of other things.
Each chapter probably has between a couple hundred and a few hundred marines in addition to the ten companies, ten squads per company, ten marines per squad.
Chosen typeface for chapter numbers and positioning
This is the chosen type face on the 3 chapter pages. I really like the one I have picked because it also works well with the flowers because they both compliment each other with the curves and elegance of them both. I like the cursive font on all the page, I also chose the type to be medium weight instead of regular because I find it works better on the page and still doesn't look too over powering or distracts the from the main text. I am happy with how this looks and when I have my tutorial I will get some pointers and any improvements on how it looks.
Before my tutorial, I trialled out having the number central to the box and page to see how it would work with the rest of the page. I am not sure which I prefer, however, I am still leaning more towards having it to the left of the box. I will get some advice from my tutorial to on my progress so far, with any improvements/ adjustments I can make. I am happy with my progress so far on adding these details onto the chapter pages and all of my spreads.
Experimentation of chapter numbers
These two examples below I have shown before, are two examples have that inspired me for experimenting with on my chapter pages. I wanted to trial out a different way to present the number on my page with the text too. So I have experimented as shown further below.
This was my first trial using a number on the page to show the chapter number. If I continue with this idea, delete in the text where is says chapter and then the number for that chapter because I do not need it twice. I took this idea from the images above, however, I found it was difficult to fit them on the page as and numbers 2 and 3 are bulky on the page. Also, I needed to make sure that the numbers were legible on the page so the reader wouldn't get confused on what the chapter number was for. I am not overly sure that this idea would work well so it would need some further development because the numbers are too bold and bulky on the page. This could be because of the size and weight which is some I could experiment more with and also, I feel like it could distract the focus away from the main text on that page because of the thickness and dark block of colour.
This is another experiment I went ahead with, was using Roman numerals instead of the numbers themselves, as I used Roman numerals in the main text of the writing. I liked this experiment because it was central and worked well with the flowers on the opposite side of the page. This is because of the shape of both the flowers and the Roman numerals, and how one is added each time like the flowers.
With these experiments, I still wasn't overly happy with the look of either of them because I found both the numbers and Roman numbers were both too bold and thick with the colour. I found it distracted the focus from the main text, so I needed to consider another concept for showing the chapter number, which is something I’m going to do further development on next.
THIS OR THAT (writers/readers version)
first person or third person? big words or small words? chapter titles or chapter numbers? single book or series? short stories or novels?
NOT COMPLETE BUT ARCHIVE DOESN'T LET YOU DO THAT UNTIL 2+ CHAPTERS IN
Just got this tag in. Wranglers see a lot of "how do I" tags, but rarely one so specific. If you're out there, tagger, I have good news for you! You can totally do that.
Edit the work.
Go down to the "Associations" section.
Check the ticky box next to "This work has multiple chapters."
If you know how many chapters the work will have, replace the "?" with a number. Otherwise, leave it.
Save the work.
Your work will show as chapter 1/? or 1/some number, depending on whether you replaced the question mark with a number or not.
