Imagine MC and K, cuddled up somewhere. K's reading something, and doesn't realize that MC is reading along too. And when they turn the page, MC asks them to go back cause they weren't done yet. They flip the page back wordlessly, but are shaking their head. MC pouts, saying something like "I can't read as fast as you." After a couple of pages, MC is hit with a idea! "Hmmm, K? Could you read it out loud for me?~"

What would K be like with an MC that had a personality like theirs? 😂 Everytime I read a new thing about K I relate to them and I worry because whenever someone asks me if I would date someone like me I say "hell no".

That’s so funny but I think K would say the same thing 😭 lol I feel like they do have enough self awareness to know that their honest nature and rather blunt, emotionally detached approach to things may not be for everyone, and that goes for themself lol imagine two K’s bickering and fighting all the time?

What works is that K would appreciate having an intellectual and emotional equal, and someone they can feed off of both mentally and personally. They like when people understand that K doesn’t come from a place of harm, just honesty. Telling people what they need to hear rather than what they want to hear is K’s way of caring and showing they love the person.

Plus, they’re adaptable; even someone similar to them is someone they can get along with if they like the person enough aha

K took AP Spanish in school and had classes in German and French due to their parents (who added them to any extra curricular and after school activity they can get their hands on), and they picked up on it quickly (as with most things) but I wouldn't say they're fluent. Very basic conversational at best.

Their mother can speak Yoruba but K unfortunately never became fluent. Some K lore but their mother (and father) were barely in the house anyway to speak with them in general. It's no surprise they didn't pick up on it.

Oh god, I just realized I'm making my thembo, golden-retriever-energy MC romance K... I think K is going to get very annoyed, very fast😅; and the worst part is they probably won't get a very satisfying argument/debate out of my MC either(rip K I'm sorry, I don't know why I've done this to you lmao)

ahahaha if it's any consolation K gets annoyed by literally everything so you won't be singled out lol a very happy, appeasable MC won't get a satisfying argument but will get a "idk why ur like this but im actually impressed that you've managed to find the good in this situation" so funnily enough, K will respect MC in a weird, roundabout way (while also thinking they're weird for being so...jolly)

I find K to be the most...flexible in their characterization, mostly because they're able to absorb many perspectives and discover the logic in all of them. They may not agree with it, but they're good at not getting too emotionally attached to what other people do and feel (that doesn't involve them).

A bit of that is shown in the beginning of chapter two, actually, so I think it'll be clearer then! <3
