You’re pacing. Your hands won’t stay still, and your fingers fidget as they pull at your sleeves. You can feel your breath become even more shallow as if someone has turned down the oxygen in the room. You decide to sit to try to calm down, but it's not working. You don't want to worry, Caleb, so you try to do some breathing. It only makes your chest tighten more.

“I’m fine,” you say quickly, before Caleb even asks. “J-just tired. I had a long day today.”

Caleb stops mid-walk to look at you. For a moment, he doesn't say anything then starts to come closer.

What are downsides to living with the ROs?

A and their moments of silence. They’ve been so used to being on their own that, even when living with someone, they’ll try to find that escape to sit with their overthinking mind. They’ll swear nothing’s wrong, it’s just force of habit. And the constant smell of coffee.

Ireland, they’ll have some true crime podcast playing through the speakers of their home. It’s like they become obsessed. One they get so entangled in to solve that it’s hard to pull them away from it, and back into reality.

K, well, their sleep pattern is non-existent. They’ll swear it’s fine for you to fall asleep without them, and when you do, they’ll try to be as quiet as possible around the house… whether they actually succeed at that can be another thing.

P, the fact they need some kind of sunlight or moonlight streaming in, so a curtain or blind must be open just a little. The urge for them to make their home into a florist with the amount of plants and flowers they come home with. And the fact that there’ll always be a random paint splotch somewhere; on the table, on the wall—somewhere, because of where they rest their paintbrush.

Pouting and screenshotting the image for future...inspiration? Yeah, yeah inspiration. He needs to do a new shoot anyways. He will try and beat around the bush about it, why MC took the photo, why they didn't tell him. Then he will just say that as your bestie, you owe him a shoot. That is totally how this works. Those eyes looked so alluring and yet, G can't remember if this is the first time they've seen it or not. G will be annoyed that they enjoy how MC looks, that it does more than make them think about MC. A thought they will try to knock out of their head as soon as it pops in. They will bury the emotions as deep as possible, after they look at the photo a few more times. No matter how much they hate to admit it, they always thought MC was attractive. With a bitter taste in their mouth there is one thought in G's mind, I wasn't the only one who thought so.

💚 Kara - Too cute! She's screen shotting, sending MC a text. "Why don't you ever take cute photos with me?" She was serious in her question, though she ensured to send a few emojis to come off as playful. Granted Kara's online presence is high, these photos she would keep to herself. Just like she did with the memories of when she would spend time with MC when they worked together. There's nothing wrong with thinking your sibling's ex-fiancé is attractive, sweet, funny. Especially when they're your friend. There's no underlying meaning as to why Kara makes the photo her background...none at all.

💛 M - They had seen the photo when scrolling, just something to break up the time between when they waited for their editor to reply back. M had tossed their phone behind them, and hopefully somewhere that they could find later. Their face bloomed with a blush, one they covered under their palms, face pressed so hard against the desk that it would likely leave a mark. They might have squealed appreciatively at the photo...maybe...possibly. To them it almost seemed impossible to be MC, they never looked like that before. Maybe that's why their so flustered, because they looked different. Should they ask MC about it? Damn it....why are you so....in a maid costume though? Alright...time to find their phone.

💜 Isaac - They try to ignore that feeling in their chest, the one that is telling them they like what they see, they want to see more, want to be around MC more. In fact they go so far as to close out the page and try and push the image from their thoughts. Which is easier said than done. MC looks good, great even. So good that it's leaving Isaac feeling like they should have saved that damn photo. That worries them, this feeling of wanting to hold on to them, even just a fraction. They'll make a flirty remark later on when they see MC, because that's what they do, a nice little cover. Flirt and feign ignorance. Ignorance of what they feel for MC, of the potential there.

Who knew the person he sees fighting to keep their eyes open, dressed in pjs, hair all messed up when its time for rent could look like this. Well....to be honest Ardent thought MC looked good like that too, but he will deny it. He thinks MC looks hot, too hot. Unfair really considering he doesn't get to see MC all dressed up. Ardent would be a bit annoyed, because why does the people who get to photograph MC get to witness how good they look and not him. That picture is coming with him, across the hall where he will annoyingly knock on the door until MC answers, and he will make a quip about if you're making such good money modeling he will want more rent. Hey! Question here. Let's say the MC from TSS suffers from really intense nightmares, from a past trauma that happened to them, or something similar. Like to the point that it's so bad as to cause heaving for air, and ugly crying when waking up from it. How would the RO's go about helping and supporting them through it? As someone who struggles with this, it's always an incredibly interesting thing to see 😌

First of all, I'm really sorry to hear that you're struggling with that. That sounds absolutely awful ): I'm also really sorry for the very, very late response.

The answers reflect ROs who have developed feelings for the MC:

A would be in "solution mode" at first and their first instinct might be to bluntly try to get the MC to snap out of it. But upon seeing how affected the MC is, they would lay down beside them and place a hand on their shoulder, quietly waiting for the storm to pass. While they wouldn't offer words of comfort, they'd stay without judgment.

R would have a hard time not panicking themselves. Not openly, but in a restless "trying to look like they have their act together but not knowing how to handle it" kind of way. Then they'd grow increasingly frustrated with themselves and probably end up hastily wrapping the MC in a blanket and wrap their arms around them a bit too tightly to hide their own trembling. They'd mutter something about how they'll stay that way as long as needed and to pat them on the back if the MC has trouble breathing.

G would (surprisingly?) probably immediately try to adjust to the MC's state. They'd make calming noises, cooing and hushing, and gently stroke the MC's back/head. They might end up crowding them a little, but would listen if the MC signaled that they wanted space. G would stay beside them throughout and, once they fell asleep again, would weave them kinder dreams.

Q is not the best at understanding complex human emotions. They would be alarmed, and the display might trigger a fear of them losing control themselves in the MC's presence. They'd stay by the door, inspecting the MC from afar, not daring to get too close no matter how much they want to - but they would try to let them know that they are present any way they could. Since they have an ability that lets them instill feelings of calm and peace in others, they would likely eventually try to use that on the MC as a last resort.

M would, in alarm, ask the MC what's wrong and helplessly try to communicate with them, assuring them over and over that everything is alright. They'd keep the MC close and softly kiss their face until the tears stopped, feeling utterly useless all the while, but refusing to let go.

MM/ML/MO would inspect the MC for a while with eerie calm. Then they'd lean in until they were forehead to forehead and (in that mind-invasive way of theirs) hum a melody that would trigger flashes of memories and nostalgia strong enough to (hopefully) drown out the panic.

Jaelyn would stay close, but not too close, and refrain from saying too much or ask questions, sensing that the MC is in no state to give answers. After a long silence, they'd place a hand on the MC's arm and in a calm and steady voice ask what they need - then they would make sure to provide it, no matter what it was.

The crowds of people who had recently descended on the palace pressed in around you as you tried to push your way through, purposefully ignoring every unflattering look they cast your way. Nakia had warned you people would be coming, that it would get crowded, but you'd had no way of conceptualising just how many people would be there. You'd never imagined humans could convene in such large pods.

And now you'd lost Llyr. Xe had been right there with you, not daring to let you out of xir sight - but there had been a small group of women who had converged on xem, pawing at xir locs and xir scars and xir vitiligo patches. You'd been distracted by people with shrill voices crowding you, all so eager to meet the child of Lord Solomon's sister, and the momentary reprieve you'd found in the circle of personal space people had left around the king had been lost when he'd been called away to handle something, offering you his apologies as he'd departed.

A hand jerking you back by the (arm/back of your wheelchair) drew you abruptly from your search, and you turned your head to stare wide-eyed at the man who had grasped at you.

"You simply must come and join us over here," he told you, having no qualms in dragging you with him, "there are so many people you need to meet."

(Before you could even find your voice to argue/before you could even raise your hands in the desperate hope he might understand your signs) a clawed hand clamped down on the man's wrist, dragging you both to a sudden halt. You turned to see Llyr stepping into the man's personal space, glaring at him from xir position of half his height. Xe hissed at him, clacking sharp teeth in what would have been a challenge among your pod, but the man stared at xem uncomprehendingly, face contorting in disgust.

"Unhand me, you brute!"

Llyr did so, shoving him back for good measure with a warning hiss before turning to face you. Xir glare softened into concern, and they (gently took your wrist, examining your skin for any harm that might have been done/knelt in front of your chair, cupping your cheek as xe searched for any sign of distress in your expression).

'Are you all right?' xe signed, and you managed to mumble/sign back something reassuring, though all you could hear beyond the rushing in your ears was the man from before, speaking loudly enough that many heads had turned to observe.

"Look at the state of my shirt!" He pronounced, raising his arm and turning so that all could see the tears where Llyr's claws had cut into the fabric. Considering the state of xir mood at the time and what you knew xe had been wanting to do, you thought xe had been rather restrained in how they had dealt with things. "What is His Majesty thinking, keeping such a /brute/ at court?"

Llyr flinched, shoulders raising defensively as xe refused to meet your eye until you cupped xir cheek, offering a reassuring smile when xe met your gaze. Your thumb brushed over the deep scar that had just narrowly missed xir left eye, and you leaned in at the same time xe did.

You didn't care about the gasps or the titters that erupted around you as your lips met xir chapped ones. The kiss was soft and warm and chaste, and maybe part of starting it had been to make a point to your onlookers - but now what was most important to you was reassuring /xem/.

Xe leaned xir forehead against yours when it ended, brushing xir nose to yours just briefly before pulling away and you saw the first true smile on xir lips that you had all day.

I haven't done a scenario ask in ages but I quite liked this one so here goes!

Orion: is a boxer and we see a bit of that heat in him in chapter 2. Also he’s very visibly strong, so people are naturally intimidated by him at first glance. Orion does take the polite approach as much as he could, so he’d ask them nicely to back off. If that doesn’t work, he’d warn them he’d have to turn violent. Isn’t he so polite? telling them how he’s about to hit them beforehand?

Orion has scrapped before. He has a good swing on him.

Sebastian: would try to be a peacemaker, tell everyone to calm down and if that doesn't help he'd prob take MC and leave lmao Seb doesn't like to fight.

August: I think August just being eternally nonchalant would scare them away, but also they're kind of scary when they get upset. They'd most likely tell them to leave, or somehow convince them to back off without raising their voice.

Victoria: Victoria would prob curse them out and use pepper spray if they get too close. She'd definitely want to fight and it'd be MC who is like...I don't think that's a good idea...she has a whole purse full of things for self defense lmao

Seven: Would definitely try to fight. Seven thinks they can take on two grown men at once even if the odds are against them, they'd definitely provoke it to the point where MC has to pull them away.

G: Probably annoy them enough to scare them away with their charming personality. Or G would insult them without directly insulting them and then would pull MC away to leave. G would be a bit braver with one guy but two guys...they'd rather just cut their losses lmao
