i look at him softly, smiling and moving my gaze to our hands. it feels good, calming to hold it, tracing my thumb over the veins on the back of his hand

he asks, looking up at you again from the side, trying to gauge your reaction and hoping his hand isn’t shaking

my heart leaps out of my chest when he grabs my hand, body buzzing with excitement while i smile widely

it's a rerun of 1917, the movie about world war one? it's supposed to be really good.. or we can go see something else

i gently rub his hand with my thumb, my blushing face matching his

i dare to move my hand slightly closer to his, blushing slightly with just the idea of getting to hold his hand. my mind wanders for a moment, snapping my head up when he speaks

mmh i don't know! there's this movie that I've been wanting to see.. or we can just.. hang out? i-if you want!

"would it be too much of a date thing to go see a movie? he hasn't actually said it's a date" i ponder, chewing anxiously on my lower lip, glancing down at his hand again

i’ll probably get shoyu ramen with chicken, like i always do... you get whatever you want! it’s on me tonight
