Trying to come up with a new outfit design for Nathan since I’ve been unhappy with his default outfit for a while now (I don’t think I even posted a drawing with that outfit on here b4 💀)

I wanted his outfit to actually reference his lore and look more mystical and stuff in general!! ^^ this is just a first draft but I actually really like it so far :)

I traced the draft sketch on top of the old ref so I didn’t have to draw a full body (and for easier comparison) lmao

In this old ref, his (purple) skin and hair color was the same, which I have changed by now as well to make his face more readable (as you can see from my recent art of him)

He desperately needs a new ref 😭

I first drew them green cause the foto I was referencing had a green arowana. They'll be blue as I first thought they'd be!

Getting back to drawing traditionally.

I really liked the drawing I made on the third page so I inked it digitally on procreate. Looking good so far, I hope to finalize her design soon!

I might make her dress a bit shorter to show off her rollerblades. I thought that making her antennaes so long wouldn't convey her character too well, then realized that it emphesizes the 'fairy' in the 'fairy bee' aspect of her design. I may change the direction the antennaes face to better convey speed.

I drew this before my class, I brought my laptop with me and I thought I'd kill some time and try out the small wacom one CTL. I don't really recommend the tablet, the curser is not stable.
