ANNOUNCEMENT!

Something that is much overdue, we've finally updated this blog so that it's up to date with Escaped!Fuse Corps!

Big thanks to Emergon-mun for the pseudo masterlist that helped me gather all the links to update the real one! While we still don't have every sprite finished, we will soon.

We've officially changed the applications to better suit the timeframe. Instead of successes and failures, there are different kinds of experiments, which I'd like to explain now.

There are those who have escaped, those who didn't make it out, and those who were hatched.

Escaped is just how it sounds; the Pokemon followed Sparkles and company out of Fuse Corps in the revolution and either lives with them or goes off to live on their own. (Please specify that.)

Experiments that were left behind got trapped under the rubble and can't escape for whatever reason. It has been two years since the escape, so please take note that your Pokemon would have to know how to survive through all the rubble. If your Pokemon is incapable of fending for themselves down there, then chances are that they followed Sparkles out or died down there. These Pokemon are allowed to escape at any time, unlike before.

If you want  to have either of those two, please note that you'll still have to fill out the application as if they were a success or failure, as each of those classes have important defining traits.

Hatched fusions are a new type of fusion! Hope is a perfect example of these types of Pokemon. In the facility, the scientists did create fusions from eggs. Pokemon like Ester took care of these eggs and made sure they got out unharmed during the escape.

They created a nursery in the camp where foster parents could raise these children. Since it's already been two years since the escape, these Pokemon have already hatched, but are fairly young. They should be capable of basic speech at this point in time. Whether these Pokemon have defects or not is up to you.

Do you have to use the same base if the 'fusemon' evolves?

I’m not really sure what you’re trying to ask?

But if you mean, for example, a Rattata/Pikachu evolving into a Raichu/Raticate as opposed to Raticate/Raichu, then yes, you have to use the same base.

The DNA was injected into a Rattata. Evolving wouldn’t change it into a Raichu, no matter how much Pikachu DNA you put into it.

This is a good question! I was thinking it over, and yes, as long as the base is still able to evolve, the fusion can evolve.

Because this question actually got me thinking, I drew/wrote an in-depth explanation of how these kinds of evolutions work. I'll spare you though, and put it under a Read More for those who need it.

Let's go with a Shinx/Vulpix mix, for example. Mainly because it was the first thing that popped into my mind that was easy to draw and make an example out of.

We've got a perfectly healthy Shinpix here, that can be evolved if you use a Fire Stone at level 15 or higher. When it comes to Pokemon being fused together with different evolution methods, I prefer to combine the two, instead of going with the base's evolution method. For example, Sparkles would need to use a Thunderstone with max happiness in order to evolve.

Using the Fire Stone on the Shinpix too early will harm the Shinx DNA, trying to force it to evolve with a foreign method and would ultimately mess up the way it grows and evolves. This goes for all of its other evolutions, too. Injecting Ninetales DNA into a base Shinx is fine, but its evolutions would take longer than an average Shinx's would.

So instead, let's evolve him the healthy way. If Fuse Corps went by the video game rules, the Shinpix would try to evolve at level 15, but you would have to cancel its evolution and use the Fire Stone in order to get a Luxtales. Luxtales will be able to evolve into a Nineray at level 30 without a problem.

If the Shinpix doesn't have a Fire Stone used on it when it reaches level 15, it will evolve into a Vulpio. It won't be able to use the Fire Stone until it reaches level 30, otherwise the Luxio DNA will be harmed in the process like mentioned previously.

If you let it evolve naturally when it reaches level 30, it'll evolve into a Luxpix. It won't be able to reach its full potential like this, but it's better than forcing the Fire Stone and harming the Luxray.

If you cancel the evolution to Luxpix and use a Fire Stone or evolve it from a Luxtales at level 30, you'll get a healthy Nineray.
