I'm not really thrilled to stir up drama but it seems you're taking the rules very personally. I want to add my two cents because a lot of people in the group seemed concerned about it.
[The Fuse corps idea didn’t seem to belong to them in the first place and yet they are using the name. (Looking on Deviant art and Youtube I see it’s been around for maybe 6 or so years. Maybe more) And anyone who says fuse corps or something related to fuse corps seems to get attacked.]
Fuse Corps shares a name with a deviantART group, yes. It was a pure coincidence and I was not the one to pick the name.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by attacked. I've yet to see someone get yelled at for this.
["Excuse me! But if you would like to use these in any fuse corps related things, please submit applications to this blog before you do! Thank you."(quoting directly from the person) (When the forum was up one of my fusions was already approved and the other was pending. and I had been thinking of re-submitting them to the blog before receiving that rude message.)]
I don't see how they were being rude. They were politely asking to submit the application so we can look it over. You could have re-submitted them like they asked instead of taking it personally.
["Okay, I’m sorry but you can’t use an experiment for fuse corps without actually joining and looking at the rules" (Question is why not? It didn’t seem to belong to you in the first place.)]
Our specific variation of Fuse Corps IS ours, and we didn't steal it. The name was a coincidence, and any similarities to the other group wasn't intended. We were just here to roleplay and have fun, and if we had members making characters that didn’t make sense, (like for example, a pre-evolved Pokemon mixed with two fully evolved Pokemon whose elements would clash if fused), then everything would be completely out of control.
[“You can’t have a shiny experiment unless stated otherwise. At all." (Why? It’s not like shiny pokemon make the fusions even more powerful or special.)]
Shiny Pokemon have a 1/8192 rate of appearing. I'm not a Team Rocket member, but if was and I caught a Pokemon that rare, I would sell it to the highest bidder instead of experimenting on it and risk losing it. Also, "unless stated otherwise." This means that shiny experiments ARE accepted within very good reason.
[“You may have up to 3 characters " I can understand it can get crowded but three? That really doesn’t solve anything. People will just make another account and submit more. So limiting the quantity of fusions doesn’t solve anything.]
Doesn't solve anything? It doesn't cause any problems, either. If someone did make an extra account, we would definitely recognize an art style or something similar. And if it does become a problem, we CAN lift the rule, but so far it's not a problem. Having 4+ askable/RPable characters can become overwhelming. Upon request, we can make exceptions if you know you can handle it.
[“Nobody is forced to join Fuse Corps, and if they don’t agree with the rules, they don’t have to join” Another person seems to disagree. “actually submit an application; or leave.” “ All characters need to be approved before you can use them.”]
I'm a bit confused on what your point is here. You're right, characters need to be approved in the group before you can use them, but that's understandable. What I don't understand is why you're objecting to this.
Submitting an application means you agree with the rules. If you don't like the rules, don't submit an application and find another group. Plain and simple.
["They can just make a fused Pokemon with a different backstory besides Fuse Corps’s and roleplay with whoever they want to."
Again fuse corps didn’t belong to them in the first place. Why are we not aloud to use it when they shouldn’t be aloud to use it either.]
Because, again, our specific variation of Fuse Corps is ours. The name was a coincidence, and any similarities to the other group wasn't intended. If our Fuse Corps changed its name to something else, this argument would be completely irrelevant.
["Sparkles IS plotting an escape with the experiments”
One of the rules happens to be “No making your character escape Fuse Corps" So basically the admin is breaking their own rules? That confuses me. If Others aren’t aloud to escape fuse corps why are the admins an exception?]
PLOTTING an escape is different than a Pokemon actually BEING outside. There's so many experiments that Sparkles's dreams of escape will often fall upon deaf ears because they think it's crazy and impossible. It isn't breaking the rules because they aren't, and never will escape, because that's not the point of the group. The development of the characters is what matters. What do they do in that situation?
Sparkles's dreams of finding a way to overthrow Fuse Corps and get everyone out safely is insane in many Pokemon's eyes, and it's also signs of rebellion. Successful experiments might try and punish her for thinking that way.
Basically, dreams of escaping =/= actually escaping.
