one thing I wish had happened/would happen in canon: well definitely that martha/mickey had more background cause like seriously they complement each other so well and are such a good match but it was just like "oh look two black people here have thirty seconds in this last big ep and ps you're married to each other".  also that she wasn't constantly compared to rose.
