Matt Murdock

first impression: probably the first time i ever encountered matt murdock was with the ben affleck daredevil movie from 2003, but we're not counting that, SO. it was during my black widow deep dive years ago, and i kinda thought he was a self-righteous jerk fhdhdh which... isn't wrong.... my first impression of him in the tv adaptation was the first episode of the defenders with that really good courtroom scene, and i loved how compassionate he was, and that's what got me first interested in the character.

impression now: idiot baby boy baby who's trying his best but is also a hot mess, please calm down

favorite moment: "you're under arrest, matt"/"objection" gjfhdh

but no really, i'm gonna jump back to the netflix show for a second, but: "you don't get to destroy who i am" from the finale. LOVED THAT.

idea for a story: matt gets some therapy. i know he's sorta getting prison therapy in the current run, but i want the story to be, specifically, about matt getting therapy. he needs it desperately.

unpopular opinion: idk if i really hang out in this corner enough to know, but some of daredevil fandom seems to justify some of his behavior and thinks he's always in the right? just because matt thinks he's in the right doesn't mean he always is, you know? he's a complicated, flawed, and often messy person who makes some bad choices.

favorite relationship: foggy; no matter how you view their relationship, romantic or platonic, they are literally straight up married.

favorite headcanon: matt has a playlist of the greatest hits of britney spears that he listens to often. it gets him pumped up to beat on bags at the gym. he's also a #freebritney campaigner and has a lot of legal arguments to make for the movement.

I wasn’t as focussed on her at first because she was more in the background in S1 but I remember thinking “look at this adorable dorky bitty owl of a nun” and admiring her drawing skills (seriously, look back at that episode where she teaches the nurses about breach births) and her accent. 9)Do you have a faceclaim / voiceclaim for your OC?

I guess Aimi Tanaka basically the voice she did for Umaru Doma. Cinnamon has a high voice and this is the only one I can come up with. 

10)What deadly sin would best represent your OC?

Sloth since Cinnamon is a sleepy bunny who would sleep all day. 

11)What are your OC’s hobbies?

Cinnamon’s hobby is gardening, they do enjoy watching plants grow.

What were they told to stop/start doing most often as a child? (for any/all OCs)

Hmm… My main three were all pretty much normal children, even if none of them grew up in circumstances that are exactly what the average galactic citizen would call “normal.” (Unless smuggler’s ships, Imperial orphanages, and asteroid mining operations run by criminals are the galaxy’s equivalents to the white picket fence of normalcy. I’m guessing not, though.)

In addition to the usual things like clean your room, brush your teeth, and the like…

Jezari got told to stay on the ship, stay out of the cargo, and stop listening in on her dad’s business dealings.

Kyrian got told to stay focused, stay off the roof damn it, stop asking inappropriate questions, and make proper use of his skills and intelligence.

And Savler got told to stay out of the mining tunnels, and not fight with her siblings, of course, and be wary of visitors.

(Sorry for the rather late answer. Some weeks are like that.)

Ahh thank you! I love Iruka haha. Sorry this took so much longer than than the last one I did, yesterday turned out to be terrible and I needed to drown myself in One Piece to cope.

general opinion: fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual love of my life hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot | gorgeous! | 10/10 would banghogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuffbest quality: Really, his ability to care about others. They live in a world where that is not always the norm, and isn’t as encouraged as it could be. I mean they are teaching children to kill people, that would take a toll on anyone’s humanity. And even though he struggled with it at first, being able to eventually put aside his bad feelings about Naruto and care about him more than anyone else ever had was amazing. worst quality: Hum… Maybe his temper. I’ve read a lot of fics where it is hi confidence, but that is more fanon than canon, but he is quick to yell even if they person deserves it. Also he was there for Naruto so much, and the kid needed it, but didn’t (as far as we saw) attempt to do something similar for Sasuke who probably would have benefited from an adult forcing their way into his life. ship them with: Kakashi, Gai, Yamato, Hana, Shizune, Anko and my OC Emiko. Also I recently got an anon asking about Karin and Iruka and I kinda love it.brotp them with: Kotetsu, Izumo, Gai, Kakashi, Naruto, Anko, Shizune, Tsunade, Genmaneeds to stay away from: Well for sure Danzo better never even look at my precious baby. He will regret it. misc. thoughts: Personally, as someone who used to work in a child education environment, Iruka was a character I could relate to right off the bat. Also that entire damn village owes him big time! Without him who knows if Naruto would have ever cared enough to save their asses, or you know, been a trained ninja capable of it. And then where would they be? Dead. They would be dead. Iruka is basically the first of a few catalysts, and one of the vital ones, that make Naruto the ninja he becomes.

green lady gamora

two requests for miss gamora, so here goes!

first impression: like a lot of people, i first came to marvel cosmic with the gotg movie in 2014 — and i thought gamora was the most interesting character in it. most interesting, and... most shafted; here was a character with a really rich backstory, a compelling drive to break away from her abuser and do good, but that was barely given any attention. i wanted more.

impression now: one of my actual favorite characters in all of marvel comics — who still isn't given the due she should be, really. i love her drive and i love her heart, which is much bigger than she knows.

favorite moment: out of everything, i will say the moment in the 2008 gotg run when she steps out and exposes herself to extreme heat to save the rest of the team, when especially at this point, she barely knows or likes most of them. she's SO GOOD, y'all.

idea for a story: another team up with angela, and other awesome galactic women, as they find and protect kids from people who will do them harm. bonus points if gamora and angela kiss.

unpopular opinion: apart from the... dying... i don't think gamora got a terrible write in the mcu, especially as compared to other characters. even if it's a bit stripped, and not quite as angry or feral or salty as she is in the comics, the core of her character and personality are, in fact, there.

favorite relationship: i'm legally obligated to say it; i love her relationship with rich 🥺 they may seem like opposites at first glance, but they have a lot more in common than you might realize, and it's just... a really interesting dynamic to explore, whether platonically or romantically.

favorite headcanon: gamora is extremely competitive, and she loves game night — just engage with her at your own risk, because shit gets real. there may or may not be swords/knives involved.

21: “Dream vacation” 

I think Babs had a tendency to limit her dreams so that they could fit a more likely reality. With that in mind I think she’d probably answer somewhere like Torquay, where she could go on moonlit walks along the beach with Tom. 

I think she’d also enjoy being with everyone she cares about and - barring her father - that’s Nonnatus. I think the winter of 63′-64′, though they were all busy as heck, fulfilled that in some ways as Barbara in particular seemed quite charmed by the winter wonderland-ness of it. She’s also very good at finding the joy in a situation. So while it’s not quite a vacation, the Christmas celebrations with all that snow and with Tom & Nonnatus probably counts as an answer in some way.

22: “How they hold a holiday dinner”

Stressfully and with multiple adorably clumsy catastrophes. Likely would end up falling asleep in chairs like she did when trying to sew her wedding dress.

That being said, she is quite handy in the domestic way, likely because she seems to have done a lot after her mother’s death. It wouldn’t be a Mrs. B-level feast, but the house would be warm and inviting, everyone would be invited and she’d be a very caring host.

I’d say Val’s absolutely a roller coaster type of person. I doubt she’s been on many, but I think she’d be the type to find it fun as opposed to nauseating/terrifying.
