I get Pearl's dramatic frustration with 'the nerve to doubt her' though. Because she does (and always has) trust Rose so much and, like, of course she doesn't want to doubt her choices and decisions. But when a part of her wishes things had not gone this way, clearly, it's probably hard.
That is true, yeah. It just read to me like a “Bad dobby, bad” sort of thing, which is a way I want no one to feel about themselves, and I hope that Pearl won’t in the future.
Your OC is given a full-ride scholarship to any college they could want to go to. Where do they go and what do they major in? Honestly, she would have loved to be talented enough to go to Juilliard for dance. XP
Would your OC play by the rules in a fight or take cheap shots? Definitely cheap shots.
Something that grosses your OC out? Sneezing without covering your mouth, or in a car with the windows up. Basically being clam-shelled with your snot is not okay.
Your OC is suddenly on an adventure! Where do they go and what do they do? She’d go to Brazil, and hang out on the beaches. That’s enough adventure for her.
Something that makes your OC cry without fail? Papercuts.
A obscure/ridiculous fear your OC has? She shares a fear with her mom, of being in wide open spaces. It’s definitely not to the level that Dixie is, but it creeps her out. She likes being in a crowded area, full of people.
What kind of shampoo does your OC use? Probably something from Barney’s, like this.
Your OC’s most prized possession? A necklace given to her for her 10th birthday. It wasn’t anything she wanted, at the time, but she found out later it was something Dixie’s father had given to her and she was handing down to Lourdes. Her mom doesn’t talk a lot about her grandfather, so it was a weird kind of bridge for her to know more about him. :3
back when dixie and dorian had a twitter, they had a seperation for a couple of months that left them both feeling pretty miserable. this would have taken place roughly last may-july (2014).
well... i wanted to share the parts about them getting back together, but never had the motivation for pics. so, here's dorian's pov if anyone is interested.
Dorian fumbled with Dixie’s key, holding her up as best as he could as he let them both into her apartment. She could stand on her own, but she was wobbly and he didn’t want to risk having to pick her up in his state. He smirked slightly at the familiarity of her place, breathing in the fresh scent of air freshener and something else that was wholly Dixie. Cinnamon maybe, with a hint of jasmine? Hell if he knew. It was good and cleared his bleary head enough to lead them both to her couch.
He laughed lightly as she flopped onto the cushions with a thump. “A little sloppy are we?”
“Shut up.” Dixie murmured into the pillows. “It’s the room’s fault for spinning.”
Dorian sat on the floor and leaned his head against the couch, the room slightly shifting before his eyes as well.
“We drank too much.” He groaned.
“Obviously.”
He let an entirely different sounding groan escape his throat when Dixie’s hand found its way to his hair and her fingers threaded slowly through the strands, massaging his sensitive scalp. This was their first night back together since, an admittedly difficult (for him), two month separation. They were on and off so often - always backing off when things got too serious, too committed - that he figured he’d get through it easily like always. They’d have a week off from each other to do their separate things; he’d go to a few bars, flirt meaninglessly with a few women, then slide back into Dixie’s life and pick up where they left off.
This recent split was different. Things got heated, they both freaked, and when the break hit the three week mark he was sure it was going to be permanent. And it was that thought that hit him straight in the gut, two parts incredibly unbearable and one part terrifying. It was enough to send him in the direction of the nearest bar to find a quick lay and few strong drinks to take his mind off how seriously he cared for Dixie. God knows he’d rather make a potential fuck up while they were separated and still have a slim chance with her afterward, than do so while together and lose all hope. Always trying to stay optimistic. If that even was optimism.
It didn’t take long to find a willing distraction and when they were both undressing and touching in his apartment, he felt… weird. Wrong. He cursed himself for letting feelings get in the way, for falling for someone just as flighty with relationships as he was, and for being too slack to hold onto what they had while they had it. Dixie understood him like no one else; she got it. They needed to be apart every now and then, to have their own space, but they were loyal and they knew they cared about each other without having to say it. He lost that and all he could do was call the woman on his bed a cab and light up a joint to pass the time.
It took him one full month to work up the nerve to call Dixie, finally fed up with just letting things between them fall silent. If she was busy, he’d find a way to make room for himself in her schedule - but to his relief, he didn’t have to. She asked him to go bar hopping that weekend and he knew he had one foot back into Dixie’s world again. She didn’t ask him any questions and neither did he, and everything was as it should be.
“You fall asleep on me? What a gentleman.”
He smiled, knowing she was rolling her eyes and felt the couch behind him move slightly as she turned herself toward the back of it.
“Am I staying the night?"
Dixie didn't answer immediately, and Dorian felt strangely keen to the rejection.
She sat up clumsily with a frown. "This fucking couch is uncomfortable as hell. Let's go to bed."
Dorian helped her quietly up the stairs and into the bedroom. As he lay in the quiet of the room, one arm lazily draped over Dixie's midriff and a leg resting in between hers, he felt... happy
I have several questions. Firstly, how did Dorian react to the news that he was going to be a father? Secondly, when are we going to see Bronx and Emile again? I love them they're so bootiful ;--;
dorian has always been kind of “meh” about kids. he could do with or without them, honestly. when dixie broke the news she was pregnant though, he was much more excited than he ever thought he would be in that situation. he’s psyched to be a dad, albeit he’s going to be the most immature father ever. XP
not suuuurrrreeeeee! emile is second generation (with lourdes and myra), so he’s going to be quite a while. and bronx is just… bronx. i often forget he’s even there, tbh. >8} i’ll take a pic of him for you tho. ;;~;;
thank you for the dah questionsssssss! you so kind and adorables.
she’s into a lot of korean stuffs. :3 plus, she would have a huge crush on TOP and Beenzino, even tho they be like 300 years old by the time she an adult. lmfaooo.
