Nikolai had a habit of throwing grad affairs when it came to the holiday season. A mere week ago the family gathered for a Christmas dinner fit for the Royals. Today, friends and family alike lingers in the halls of his home enjoying the catered food,  the subtle tune of classical music, and drink. He was a welcoming host, assuring that everyone felt at home for the duration of their stay. 

Lingering in the back corner, baby sister Nat hid behind her big brother Luca. he had snuck her a flask of vodka as she was still under the legal age foto drink. Nikolai would hide them both if he was to discover their antics.

Handing off the final rose of the evening, Aiden found himself with his final two ladies. When he had joined he show, her had never imagine it going well for him. Really, this was a joke to him. Now however, he was in love with one of the beautiful women in front of him. He managed a smile when the host took the screen, his mind not focusing on the words. Instead his mind was focused on Leto and Katia. When he went to speak, the scene was cut around him and everything went into a rush around him. Cameras and crew swarmed liked bees, leaving his mind a mess. Even for someone who new fame, this was overwhelming for him. Sighing he looked down, wishing that he could have met these girls any other way.

All Those Who Wander

Nomadic, Demetrius resided in one place for brief periods of time -- only remaining long enough to gather enough coin to get to the next port. Completing odd jobs, Demetrius disguised himself as a tradesman under a heavily hooded cloak. Strong muscles rippled as they lifted heavy crates onto his cart. Hired to carry loads to the next town, he was ready to depart -- that was until a shimmering gleam caught his eye. 

Peering up from the shadow cast across angular features, aegean-blue eyes focused on the tent littered with artifacts and trinkets. There was a time where merchant shops of this nature littered the realm but under the reign of King Christian, his soldiers had been raiding merchant towns and the countryside to rid the kingdom of the corruption that was magic. A non-believer, Demetrius was convinced magic had died many years ago -- yet, it continued to intrigue him. 

Abandoning the cart, the tall man took careful steps across the road and into the darkness of the tent. The flickering of candlelight greeted him, precious stones and crystals hanging from the supports and artifacts littering the tables. A hand reached up, pushing the thick brown hood from his head -- revealing himself to what seemed to be an empty tent. Eyes then found the gleam that lured him into the shop. Hanging among the crystals and gems, a glistening gold medallion that was all too familiar to the young man. While he could not remember where he had seen such sigil, but as he stood, taking in it’s aged beauty, he knew it held meaning.

Divergent | Closed.

           “I know dad gave you a hard time today,” James spoke to his sister Kennedy, pushing her blond strands out of her face before lowering his hands back down to his sides. He should be with her before the ceremony, but as leader of dauntless’ son, and looking the way he did, not many challenged Maverick.  “Yelled at you, and scared you into making a decision. Family, or your test result. Just-” he took a breath, “what ever you chose, you will always be my sister. Follow your heart, or mind, or whatever-” James followed his words with a cuss as the cue for the hall to be filled sounded. “Love you.”

          “Love you too,” Kennedy managed to steal a hug before she followed her peers into the hall for the choosing ceremony. Today she would decide where she belonged. Abnegation, with the selfless. Amity with the peaceful. Candor with the honest. Dauntless with the brave - and her family. or maybe, Erudite with the intellects. Kennedy knew that she should have decided where she had belonged already, but as she entered the hall and was faced with the bowls of each district she was still unsure. Thankfully there were a number of others in front of her, buying her time for further thought.

Riverdale

Pop’s diner had always been a hot spot for teenagers. They arrived in flocks, craving the cheese fries and chocolate malt shakes.The high rates of customers brought stress to the staff, but the teen’s allowances and summer jobs kept his doors open, and the girls on roller skates. Today, however, was a quieter night, Monday. Not many students came in on Mondays. Currently, only the nerds rocked the booths, including Darcy Delfino who sat by herself. The high school senior was attentive, her bright green eyes looking out the window as the rain poured. 

Pop’s enjoyed the petite girl’s company, she was polite and smart but brought poor company. The serpents-- or rather her punk-ass boyfriend and his buddies. They always raised hell in the dinner, but business was business. Today, Darcy expected them to join her, as well as a new girl from class. Mallory. She looked tough, but was having a hard time fitting in, Darcy intended to make sure she felt welcome in the small, and shrinking town of Riverdale.

The holiday season had come and gone and the castle was beginning to come back to life again. Sure, some of the students remained at Hogwarts while others returned him, but there was nothing like the rush of feet against the stone floor and the shouts of late students in the corridor. To Professor Ross, those were just a couple of his favorite things about being a grounds keeper and magical creatures professor. Moving from the snowy outdoors, he moved to the great hall. It would be dinner soon and he would hate to be the one that arrived late - plus, he was starving. 

Delilah had refused to go home for Christmas. There was too much fighting about where she would be: with her mother or father. With that daunting over her, she just stayed at the castle. It was quieter than what she was used to as most of her friends went home, but she found ways to keep busy. Those included skating on the lake and getting ahead in her reading. She got the point where she felt like she was turning into a Ravenclaw when she was in fact a Slytherin. She enjoyed her holiday, but she couldn’t be happier to have her friends back at the castle.
