Hearing that, Finn frowned for even though he and Leia didn’t bond too much, he held an enormous amount of respect for the general. It wasn’t only that, though. He felt for Rey and Poe... Especially Poe. He knew the bond Rey and Leia had was deep because the force was strong in both of them. Poe, though, he held the general in the highest regard. He could remember when Leia passed, could remember feeling Poe’s pain, Chewie’s pain. It all weighed down on him enough to make him realize he never truly got to know this amazing woman. Perhaps it was because he was afraid to lose her. No, that was a cowards way of thinking. There was no excuse. It was a war and he was busy realizing his goals with the resistance and his own purpose with the force inside of him. Taking a breath, for he’d been standing there a little while without saying anything, Finn offered a smile. “It’s nothing for you to apologize about, General. It’s sad, sure, but I don’t know, maybe this is some kind of weird blessing? Living in a kind of life I never thought possible, in a place I never thought possible, with everyone I love here. Maybe it’s a chance to finally get to know the general I never really got to? If you wanted to, of course.”
