@handsbloodied for rey
As quickly as he’d arrived, the memories harshly returned and without mercy. The fear of the First Order, the adrenaline from rescuing Poe, the elation of meeting Rey and the soulfulness of joining the Resistance that provided him with purpose. He didn’t know whether to be pissed off or ecstatic however the debate didn’t stop tears from falling. Though as quickly as they fell, they were wiped away with a breath. With feelings swirling inside of him, he didn’t notice her at first. It took a second look and even then he still didn’t believe it. True to the words, the emptiness he felt inside was once more full at simply the look of her. Granted that was a bit more than he was expecting but there she was. “Rey!” He cried out, almost as if it were habitual, before he jogged to her and found himself desperate for a hug but afraid to reach out at the same time. He wasn’t expecting the growing belly. “I...” His eyes had looked down but they moved up to her eyes and it was then he realized another tear fell.
