Truthfully, he’d been avoiding Ben because he was afraid. The First Order terrified him, even now, even when their influence was no longer in his reach (as far as he was aware). With Rey pregnant, for he hadn’t seen the twins yet, and their lives thrown for yet another loop, Finn was on the defensive. It wasn’t to be mean or to be hurtful, it was simply a defense mechanism for his sanity. His back seemed to pulse and he had an urge to reach back but he stood where he was and watched Ben almost with a glare but he was trying.
