It’s been so long since I’ve broken out the markers, but here! It’s my guys.
From top to bottom: A.Julia, Anemone, Violet.
Some facts about them below
- Anemone and Violet used to be the same character, used to be called Lily. Lily had too much going on though, so I broke her up into two separate characters.
- Julia was inspired by Spider-Man and originally had no powers, instead relying on technology to be a superhero. Current Julia also relies on technology now, at least more so than her teammates, but she has powers too. The technology only has been given to a different character that I thought would be better suited for it :)
- Julia’s story used to be separate from Anemone and Violet’s back when they were still in the early concept stages. I started both stories around the same time and eventually they just merged.
- Violet has a cat, Julia had a dog, Anemone is petless 😔✌️
little thing I wrote 2 years ago that I forgot about but am happy enough with to post. It features Violet from some of my art posts
This one ^ :D except a little older and also when I played her in a DND campaign. Cherry and Moshe were the DM’s character. Also apparently I gave Anemone an aunt back then? She still has one, but the aunt is long dead and busy haunting the narrative. Thought I created her in 2023.
Violet loved to watch Azlon paint. She liked the way Azlon dragged her brush on the paper, leaving a sparkling trail of endless colors. She liked the way Azlon managed to turn everything, even their grey city that always smelled of smoke, into gold with just a few brushstrokes. She liked watching the paint bloom whenever Azlon went to clean her brush.
She liked the way Azlon hunched over whatever she was working on, the way she furrowed her thick brows and pouted. She liked how her black curls were kept in a neat bun and out of her face. She liked her gold eyeshadow and black nails. She liked how Azlon always managed to smudge ink and graphite on her brown hands.
She loved everything about her.
Loved.
Love.
That was the first time she knew. They were twelve.
Azlons eyes had golden flecks in them. Sometimes Violet thought they were what painted the world gold everywhere Azlon went.
The woman who brought them here, Cherry, didn’t have gold flecks. She had golden eyes. But they weren’t gentle like Azlons.
It was strange, Cherry had a lot of similar features to Azlon. They had the same dark skin, the same hairstyle; but just from a few minutes, it was clear that they couldn’t be more different.
Cherry was tough and muscular, her hair was red, and she dressed more like how Anemones aunt would than Azlon. But, what was perhaps the most different, were her eyes. They were fierce, sharp, like they were looking into her very soul, like she was always planning. Almost like a snakes; but what kind of snake?
One that would teach them to change, or one that would inject venom into them, suffocate them, squeeze them for all they were worth.
Violet wasn’t sure yet, but she did know this, Cherry was not like Azlon.
Azlons eyes were gentle, kind. And though they were intelligent, you could trust her not to use whatever she saw against you.
In this, she supposed Azlon was closer to Moshe, Cherrys wife, despite sharing no physical similarities.
Violet tilted her head as Moshe squeezed Cherrys arm. It was such a familiar gesture. One that Azlon had done countless times.
Everything from their smiles, their eyes, their gestures, it was all so familiar, that it was almost like looking in a mirror.
And her heart ached.
She wanted to look away, to forget what she didn’t have. But she couldn’t. So she watched and wondered, when would she smile like that again?
Her hand clutched around the silver bracelet with a diamond encrusted moon, and she had her answer.
When they were safe again.
She looked down at the sparkly thing, the only thing they had connecting them now.
