yup yup! @can-of-w0rmz (all artwork here hers) and i are directing an animated serial adaptation of frankenstein 1818:
alongside other artists and writers, we are currently working on the concept trailer and the script for the pilot episode. look at some of our guys now
Can you later make a list of the scenes where you think Charles is telepathically communicating with someone/its hinted?
Oh, for sure!! Let me get to it right now.
I must state that these are mostly my headcanons, but i do pretty much feel that there is something happening/being said or projected during these scenes.
I might be insane.
Maybe.
Here I just feel like Erik was giving Charles a hint or was straight up thinking or projecting something to Charles, because the pause in this scene is kind of long for no apparent reason.
Here I just think they were like "Yeah, we are taking Angel with us," or something like that xD
This one is soooo obvious. There is Charles most likely reading Logan's mind and seeing what's gonna happen if they don't leave him alone (claws and Charles with Erik flying around most likely), but then I think Charles projects a little bit of it to Erik or he just tells him that they should really rather go.
In this one, I believe they planned how to catch Emma just a little bit. Like "You go there, i go there, we got her, the bed has a metal frame."
This is one of the scenes where I felt like there was a verbal and telepathic conversation taking place at once. Whether the telepathic part was a conversation with words rather not spoken out loud or just a projection of feelings or memories, I believe there are two conversations taking place.
There might be a little comment right in this scene. Since Erik nor Charles acknowledged out loud what Charles just did (taking control of Erik and using his powers), I believe there might have been a small apology on Charles' side telepathically with Erik most likely understanding Charles' reasonings (trapped under rubble and Erik unconscious)
And here we go to my final one!
I just believe there are way more things happening in this scene than what we hear or see. I even think that when Erik arrived, and Charles got to feel his mind for the first time (and he was surprised), Erik might have said a little Hello or something.
But then we have this dialogue between them (or rather Erik trying to make a conversation and save his old boyfriend), but I just feel like there are thoughts and words and feelings gliding right under the spoken words. The looks between them, the vulnerability of the whole scene. Charles choosing the correct hand. I'm just pretty sure that in this scene, Erik is doing his best, opening his mind fully to Charles, and Charles, eventually, accepting all of that.
I feel like this scene might be the most apparent one.
Thank you for the ask!!! I might be delusional but oh well x
I am having a crappy day so I'm here to beg for the fluffiest cherik headcanons you've got, please and thank you
Omg hiii, I hope you feel better soon <3
Thank you for the ask!
– Erik is just absolutely perfect at taking care of Charles. Especially when Charles has headaches/migraines. He just knows what Charles needs :)
– They love holding each other close. Especially at night.
– When Charles reads out loud to Erik, he keeps projecting his own imaginations of the scenes to Erik.
– When it's cold, Charles steals Erik's turtlenecks.
– Whenever Erik is cooking, he mostly uses his powers. Charles absolutely loves it. Erik often does little (unnecessary) shows because it makes Charles smile.
– When they're in public, Erik sometimes asks Charles what is the person staring at them thinking
– When theyre too busy to actually play or dont have a board with them, they play chess in Charles' mind.
– Erik will tell you anything about Charles' (wedding) ring. He could recognise it anywhere, anytime.
Thats all i can think of right now! Hope you like them anon (and everyone), ily :)
Charles is a night owl and Erik has a crazy sense for when someone’s looking at him so when he wakes up and turns around to check on Charles . Charles is just
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH HELPPP THIS IS SO RIGHT, someone should draw this 😭😭
i saw you posting about '97, thoughts on cherik there?
Despite the show throwing us into a different ship (one that I refuse to mention, we all know what I mean), there are so many cherik moments that I will talk about.
Charles pretty much haunts the entirety of the narrative right up to the point we get to see him in episode 6 (I think).
Long post of Cherik moments incoming.
Obviously, I will start with the fact that Erik was the one Charles left everything to. He knew Erik would take on his legacy, his X-Men and his dream, so he left everything to his old friend.
"Back when we were friends, I would always sense Charles in my mind. Not invading, more a presence. I was in his thoughts and he in mine. When we parted ways, I told myself I needed this (the helmet) to protect myself from his psychic powers."
"But you were worried if you still felt how much he loved you, you wouldn't be able to go through with your crusades."
In this conversation, Erik even states that he fully intends to honor Charles' last wish, even if the X-Men do not trust him.
No matter what you think, it's canon that Erik wears the helmet to block out Charles' love.
Another proof of Erik's feelings towards Charles is included in his perfectly crafted and so powerful speech.
"There was a time I would smite you all for what was done to Storm. But today, I have saved you from your own, for an old friend has challenged me to remember this view of Earth. How was it is, versus how small we make it. Charles Xavier entrusted me with his dream, and it does not ask you to love or embrace my kind as your own..."
From this monologue, my favorite part is the one where he remembers how Charles challenged him to view the world from this perspective.
I must again state just how perfect Magneto's speech in this scene is. I've rewatched it so many times over the past weeks that I could probably quote it word for word now. Such a powerful speech.
"We were at a bar in Germany when he first mentioned his dream. I laughed at him. Was he sentimental or suicidal? Both earn an early grave. He did that smile of his, that annoying secret smile. "Magneto, any dream worth having is a dream worth dying for." We thought we'd perish before seeing the day when humanity accepted our people. Like Moses and the Promised Land, we would carry the dream, but never live it."
Erik's voice and expressions during every single scene mentioning Charles just point out how much he misses him. I don't even have more words for this scene. But there you all have the picture of the "annoying secret smile" (that Erik very much loves)
Now to my favorite. In this episode, it is Erik (and the X-Men) haunting Charles' narrative.
This scene happens shortly after Charles was told that he would have to let Lilandra erase his memories of Earth and the X-Men. Charles is standing in front of these statues, considering his options, but obviously unwilling to lose memories of his X-Men (and Erik, obviously).
Right after it is explained that the statues are actually the gods of the Imperium. Who used to hate each other and be at war, but eventually married to set balance and peace in the Imperium. And isn't that scenario familiar? Two people on opposite sides, but still in love (the statue is very much full of affection and gentle touches).
"Idealism is also a sign of insanity." "You know, I have a very old and very dear friend on Earth who would agree with you." "Wise, for a Terran." "Yes. His name is Magnus. And I wish to remember him." "You've made your decision, then?" "Forgive me."
And this conversation is also so amazing. It becomes quite obvious that Charles never truly wanted to lose his memories of Erik and the X-Men.
Also this episode was sometimes very much making me mad. When they said Charles is not "pure" terran, etc. Also the things about the mindwipe overall...
And then obviously, the whole lenght of episode 10. But there IS a particular scene I need to highlight the most.
"The X-Men and I may not resemble each other, but we are still family."
"We... had a dream. Charles."
"Yes. A dream that made us a family. And like that dream, any family worth having..."
"Is worth fighting for. Your name is Professor Charles Xavier."
"And you are Erik Magnus Lehnsherr. But the man you wished to glimpse as a child, who you were meant to be, who your family needs today, chose another name. Do you remember him, Magnus? Remember what he was meant to do?"
"Magneto lives!"
That's all from me for this post, thank you sm for the ask! :)
My idea for @paully-wally 's ask about Charles in a time loop on Cuba.
This is really angsty so hold on :"D
The first time it happens, he doesn't understand what's going on. He opens his eyes, and Moira is by his side again in the ruins of the jet, shortly after he felt a coin going through his head– no, not his, not his.
He is confused. This all already happened once, so how did he..? Was it just some kind of a weird and twisted imagination stemming from his mind almost dying? Was it a hidden secondary mutation of his, foresight? Or did Emma manage to escape and forced her way into his mind?
Everything happens the same, Erik and Raven leave, he cannot feel his legs.
He wakes up in the jet again.
The next numerous "loops" are similar. No matter what he says or does, it always ends the same. Even when Raven sometimes stays, Erik doesn't and Charles ends up broken
At some point, he starts losing it. There is a loop where he just screams out his frustrations at the whole situation he's in. Everyone thinks he's gone completely insane—especially Moira who saw him scream in the jet just a few moments ago.
He once even tries to join Erik. He agrees to go with him as he's laying in his best friend's arms. He falls asleep or loses consciousness later. Wakes up in the jet again.
There is, as much as he hates to admit it, even to himself, an instance where he accidentally hurts or kills everyone on the beach with a telepathic outburst.
Then there is the one where he simply never gets up in the jet. He lets himself fall back into the abyss to take a break.
He starts remembering everything. The trajectory of the bullets that Erik deflects, where everyone is standing, scenarios that he's tried already.
At a point he angles himself so the bullet kills him.
Then, finally, he manages to make Erik stay. He's so relieved and happy that he cries and Erik holds him, tearing up on his own. He is so happy that he could burst with it, this will finally end–
He wakes up in the jet again.
He eventually settles with the fact that no matter what happens, Erik will leave. Raven will leave as well. And he will be left broken in both heart and body on the beach.
It's just when he accepts that that he wakes up in the hospital, with Hank and Moira by his side.
