I've been meaning to draw Accidentally In Love's first first kiss scene ever since I wrote it, and now it finally exists! I'm sorry Cecil, I'm laughing at you forever :)

So a while back, @a-slight-sweet-fiction and I came up with a Carlos-Charles roleswap AU!

In which it's Charles the Theologist, along with his infant son Donovan, who comes to Night Vale in 2012 to study Huntokar (and the angels, the Glow Cloud, etc.) and ends up falling for Her Voice, and several years later it's Carlos the Scientist who ends up in Desert Bluffs Too on his quest to study the scientifically-fascinating Other Empty Desert!

Charles and Cecil are somehow the least unhinged pairing between these four; they mellow each other out a lot, and probably have lots of deep existensial conversations about the universe while snuggling and staring at the stars (and the clouds, when those get legalized).

Inversely, Kevin and Carlos enable support each other to the most extreme degree and are probably a few sideway steps away from world domination. (I just really wanted to draw a Carlos who's a little more Mad Scientist; he wears Kevin's blood in a vial around his neck because he's a romantic like that.)

It was Alex's idea to call this the Scientifically Assured Destruction AU, partly to highlight the more harmful ways Kevin and Carlos enable each other, and partly because it abbreviates to SAD and that would piss Kevin off so much :D

Here's one you probably don't get very often, charcil headcannons? ( Just narrowing down my original radioscientology ask since you said you had a lot of those)

Oooooo Charcil is a fun one!! I'm keeping how they get together a secret for now though, to be revealed (hopefully) soon in Accidentally in Love ;3 But yall DO get to know that Charcil will be the first (non-Cecilos or Charlevin) kiss we'll see 👀

Because Charles has lived in so many towns, Cecil interviews him often on air about what life was like in Cactus Park and Pine Cliff (Cecil thinks that Charles can give insider info about the towns' sports teams, but Charles is little help in the matter lol)

They both run cold and so their clothing styles are rarely appropriate for the desert (Charles in sweaters, Cecil in tight clothing including but not limited to leather pants)

Cecil and Charles are both very open about their emotions (in contrast to Carlos and Kevin)

Oftentimes, Cecil will lie in Charles' lap to work on his broadcast notes while Charles is reading. 9 times out of 10, they fall asleep like that

Charles always claims he's not big into pet names, but he has a whole arsenal of names for his partners anyway (and while Kevin gets bird-themed names, he tends to favor cat-themed names for Cecil)

They love watching cheesy old westerns together. Related, Charles tries to get Cecil on a horse but Cecil immediately falls off.

Charles is violently protective of his loved ones, and Cecil thinks it's both terrifying and incredibly hot
