Here we are with a very small and rough sketch of what my Charis!AU is about!

I really should make a file about this- but anyways, in some ways this AU can be seen as some sort of swap AU (although, the swap is only for Philip and Caleb, and Philip is actually alive and well-)

Without giving out too much, Caleb is the one who ends up developing a very unhealthy attachment to his younger brother, his affection and duty of taking care of the younger soon enough becoming unhealthy, as he grows more controlling of him, feeling in some sort of way as if Philip is “owed” to him for all the sacrifices he had had to endure since he was a child himself. When … let’s say something happen to Philip, Caleb doesn’t take it very well, and after centuries of trying to find a way back to his little brother, or at least avenge him, his behavior surely takes a more obsessive and possessive turn.

Is very complicated to explain in few words, and kind of very dark-

The Owl House: Charis!AU

I really liked the general composition of the drawing I made for one ask about Philip Wittebane, so I decided to use the same template to introduce once more my own versions of the characters of my personal toh!AU

I think it looks better this way and feels more dynamic, so here we are with our favorite Golden Guard!

His and Philip’s are by far my favorite designs I have came up with- I am particularly proud of his mask (it looks simple but it took me DAYA to come up with something somewhat decent- it was awful honestly, but worth the effort!)

Also, I am finally get the hang of how to color with the pencil you suggested me @barnowled

The Owl House: Charis!AU

It honestly has been far too long since I have posted anything of my lil silly au- once more, this is a sort of re-introduction of the other main character of this beside Hunter, my lil version of Philip Wittebane! I personally still find the shading using lil lines is SO CUTE, but is also very very time consuming, so I do not think that I will be doing it often sadly Xp

I will try and post a lore page about this asap before the ideas and motivation vanish from my mind.

As always, honorable mention to the clearer spots on Pip’s clothes, they are meant to represent both little fawns spots (as symbol of innocence), but also the fire witches are usually burnt! In general I adore how Philip is associated, at least in his youth, to the color red, because I think it has so much potential for duality!

Red can be a warmth, passion, love, curiosity- but it can also be danger, blood, violence. And I just love this kind of contrast for his character in this particular AU! Let me know what you think about it! 🦊

THE OWL HOUSE: CALEB&HUNTER ANIMATION

Hihi, here we are with another small animation for my lil the owl house AU, Charis!AU!

This time, I will give you a small snippet of the relationship between Caleb&Hunter (yes Hunter still exists in this AU, and he is still a Caleb Grimwalker). Rather than being the emperor’s nephew, he is the emperor’s “son” and well, they di nit really have a positive relationship what can I say. Caleb isn’t going to win the award for father of the year any time soon.

The Owl House: Charis!AU

sorry for taking ao long to continue this, have been sort of busy with sone other stuff- but here we are again with another redesign for my TOH AU. I made this a while back and yet i am still so proud of it tbh- making redesigns is challenging but also very fun, nd although for now all the major characters have been covered (Hunter, Philip, Caleb, Eda, Luz-) I may do some other redesign of other characters moving forward. Would you be interested in see someone else?

NOW- as always, my thought process behind this:

- i wanted to keep the overall shape and colors of her original design (as per usual), but adding some twists. In particular i wanted to add references to all the potential palisman people used to speculate she would have before the reveal! Hence, you can find reference to a cat, snake and even bats! (Although that last one is sort of sneaky and is in the lower decor of the pants!)

- is a small thing- but her leg warmers are intentionally not symmetrical just to sprinkle in some chaos- is a small thing, but i thought it would fit well her personality and give her a somewhat more casual vibe

- i had to add a small bag- both because is adorable, but also because I always thought Luz should need a more comfortable and secure place to hold all her glyphs, this without mentioning all the pencils she probably carries all around in between other things as small trinkets and stickers! She is a creative person, who in my opinion provably enjoys collecting small things for memories! A small easily accessible bag seemed a much better idea than stuff paper and pens in her pockets

- he hair was a nightmare to draw as i couldn’t figure put in what direction it should go. But i am so proud with the results! What i wanted to bring your attention to tho, was her sort of headphones. These are very important, as in my AU let’s say that human are not seen favorably, sort to speak, and as such Luz would have to hide her true nature by constantly covering her round ears or finding ways to disguise their natural round shape

The Owl House: Charis!AU

Context: the Wittebane brothers get tragically separated in their youth. One is thrown abruptly in the future, while the other remains stuck in the past, how will this change their story?

Is been a while since I have updated anything about my Charis!AU- hence, here we are with a brand new redesign! This time, the unique and inimitable Eda the Owl Lady!

I am extremely proud of her design, I think is faithful enough to the original while having a very personal touch that differentiate it from it without loosing its essence. As always, some details:

- I wanted to keep the same vibes for her dress- the color red and the sharp edges are simply perfect to represent Eda, who surely has a sharp mind and personality + gives her the perfect witchy vibes HENCE I decided to use those sharp edges on many spots, as I really wanted to emphasize them as a pattern that distinguishes her from the others

- I think the potions on her waist go without any explaining. Eda, in my AU, is still affected by the owl beast curse, but she is much more careful about it than in the series. The “wanted” posters are no joke in my AU, which forces her to hide more and be less flashy. Her being a wild witch isn’t the main cause of concern, but the owl beast herself is why she is being haunted down, and she cannot risk to loose control, hence why she carries her elixir everywhere.

- the amulet she had on her chest in the original series, that would get more or less dark depending on the status of her curse, has been replaced by the yellow sphere that is holding her cape, as I wanted to disguise it more in her design, as again, she doesn’t want to attract too much attention

-all this hiding, is also the reason for her to wear a cape, and her hair being less big and voluminous than in the original series, although she still does keep more or less the same hairstyle
