The shadow stood behind the boy is silent, barring the soft click and buzz of its many eyes shifting in tandem. The digital demon lurks, listens, considers his reply.
What Knight does is of little concern to the Appmon, so long as he continues being useful. However, he has to acknowledge that the former CEO no longer has access to the luxuries he could once demand with a snap of his fingers.
“Need I remind you that you’re only human? You should rest. I can tell just how exhausted you are. Arriving here has taken a lot out of you, hasn’t it?”
He affects a caring tone, one that fills him with disgust as the words leave his mouth. He does not care for this child, but, he needs to pretend that he does. His plans may not work otherwise.
Knight waves his hand dismissively. It’s true he’s rather exhausted, but that was likely due to him not getting much sleep the past few nights. He was so close though to finishing the coding on this newest pet project of his.
“I’ll be fine. Honestly, Charismon, I wouldn’t think you to be the type to care.”
The Appmon never had been. He watched Biomon die without a single moment of hesitation. Then again, so had Knight. But the sacrifice was truly necessary.
Turning around in his desk chair to face the other, he gives Charismon a look.
“And it’s certainly not as if I’m comfortable sleeping around you. Maybe I won’t wake up the next morning~”
