It’s time to decide which charity Awakening: A Vergil Anthology Zine will support!

After careful deliberation, we’ve narrowed the choices down to three candidates:

The Tumbleweed Program is a non-profit organization founded in 1976 that supports homeless, trafficked, runaway, and other at-risk youth, their families, and their support systems.

One Tree Planted has worked since 2014 to create a healthier environment, protect biodiversity, and help reforestation efforts around the globe by planting one tree for every dollar donated.

Petsmart Charities has funded animal welfare since 1994 by granting over $451 million to organizations that support pets and their owners. Through adoption, food warehouses, and partnerships, they aim to give every animal a loving home.

We are within our editing period right now, putting together the zine all of our wonderful contributors have worked so hard for. We can’t wait to show you the final result! 

But while we are doing this, we would like to draw your attention to the reason we’re doing this zine in the first place, which is to raise funds for a charity. Now’s the time we call upon you to cast your vote on which charity you would like to raise funds for. Hi everyone!

Have you ever dreamed of being able to see, everyday, a beautiful illustration of a scene from your favourite books of Norse dorks hanging from your wall? Have you ever dreamed of being able to write down important dates under Blitz’s benevolent gare?

The Einherji Agenda, a MGCA Calendar 2019 project, is here to let you do exactly this!

This project aims to create a printed calendar for 2019, with each month featuring an illustration of a scene from the trilogy in chronological order: 

4 scenes from The Sword of Summer

4 scenes from The Hammer of Thor

4 scenes from The Ship of the Dead

All benefits from the sales will be donated to charity.

But which charity? This is where we’d love the fandom to pitch in! Our suggestion is the Iranian Railroad for Queer Refugees (mobile link), but feel free to suggest another one on the survey below:

And to sail this project to port, we will be looking for 19 artists to create the illustrations, calendar cover and its accompagnying merch! 

The simplified schedule is as below:

Applications: June 10th - July 8th

Official line-up revealed: July 15th

Submission deadline: Sept. 16th

Preorders: Sept. 30th - Nov. 4th

All orders shipped: Nov. 25th (tentative)
