I think that we as a fandom don't put enough emphasis on the fact that pjo characters aren't human. We treat them like they are but they're literally half god, divine beings. The books don't really expand on this either which is sad because I want more of demigods being just slightly off. They look completely normal at first glance but if you look closer their eyes are just a bit too intense, they're smiles just a bit too bright.
Let Athena kids have big owl-like eyes, let them rotate their heads further than usual and other owl-like mannerisms.
Let Apollo kids pick up random objects and gift them to their friends and families like crows.
Let Ares kids have an intense aura around them when they get angry. Let them have stupid good eyesight that can pick a small detail up from far away like vultures.
Let demigods be stronger and faster than the average human. Let them make feats no normal person can do or survive. Let them struggle with being in that in-between, not gods, but not humans either. Let demigods be half god.
