Charles James Kirk was an American right-wing political activist, entrepreneur, and media personality. He co-founded the conservative organisation Turning Point USA in 2012 and was its executive director. He published a range of books and hosted The Charlie Kirk Show, a talk radio program.

He co-founded Turning Point USA in 2012 at age 18, with Bill Montgomery, to mobilise conservative students.
He left formal college studies early (after one semester at Harper College) to devote himself full-time to activism.
He extended his influence via media: he hosted The Charlie Kirk Show, wrote multiple books, and launched affiliated organisations (e.g. Turning Point Action, Turning Point Faith).
He was shot and killed on September 10, 2025, while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
