Charlette and I at Disneyland in 2010. This was towards the end (almost the very end) of our relationship. We’re friends now…kind of. Regardless, I have some memories I will always treasure. Her and her family helped me love Christmas. I pretty much hated every holiday up until her. They helped me make good memories instead of the nightmares I had in those days. Charlette, in particular, helped me look at the world with different eyes. I don’t know how she did it, but she helped me grow as a man and as a human being. I don’t know where it came from, but she’s been on my mind a lot this year. Apart from Jovana, Charlette is the only woman I’ve ever fell in love with. I’m not sure if that says a lot about her or more about me. Regardless, she will always hold a very special place in my heart. And she will always be my friend, albeit from far away/distant or close to me… Always.
