@pavotextiles Charlotte Noir
Gosh did I come home from IBC with some fun stuff. This tester for Pavo Charlotte Noir accompanied me home and it is truly something special. This is a size 5 which has somehow gone from being my base + 1/2 to my nemesis as Monkey has gotten bigger. So, we went with Shepherd’s with taaaiiillls. Charlotte is a pre-order (completed) for Asia Pavotees and is meant to be good in the hot, humid weather often seen in Asia. They should arrive to their new homes in August.
While this looks like Filigree’s sister, it’s really more of a cousin. It has that reversed warp/weft thing going on, but it’s not as cushy and fluffy as Filigree. It’s thinner and a bit more dense but still seems airy, so perfect for heat referenced above. There is nice stretch that makes the passes nice an moldable (I’m going to ask you to look at my chest in the first and last pic...the girls never look like that!). It has texture due to the weave, but is not overly grippy. The pleats are lovely and there is a bit of that recoil that I love as well. There was a wee bit of dig in the shoulders, but that actually happens often with me and Shepherd’s. As such, I’m going to blame my wrap job and not the wrap for that.
This is a very, very special wrap. While I normally don’t do light colors and I completely #fearthenatty, this is a worthy exception.
