Birthday Wishes and Mischief Managed [ Charming-chariot & cityboygonecountry ]

Since Chie-mun posted that heart wrencher. I'll go about posting the one that sealed the relationship to our muses back on FB.

Except a few, long replies.

Order is as follows: Chie, Yosuke, Chie, etc.

里中千枝 Cradles the neatly wrapped gift in her hands, casually waltzing up to him upon his shift ending. "Hanamuraaaaa~"

花村陽介 Blinks at having almost colliding with the shorter brunette, lowering those headphones, shaking his bangs out of his line of vision, " Hey Chie! "

里中千枝 Flashes a grin his way, slowly shifting the present in her arms behind her back. It's a small box, nothing overly fancy, but still something nonetheless. "Just finished up, huh?"

花村陽介 Spots those arms in hiding, now being cautious of them, " Yeah. It was a long day. What's up? " Tilts that head slowly, curious of the one before him.

里中千枝 Keeps that grin somewhat slightly innocent, keeping the present 'hidden'. But she knows he can see it anyway. "I wanted to ask you if you wanted to get something to eat with me~ My treat, for your birthday."

花村陽介 Raises a brow to the question, glancing at his phone to check the time, " I don't think there's anyway place open right now Chie. Are you sure? " Kept growing more curious as to the gift this woman kept hiding.

里中千枝 "I can take a hand at making something, if you want." Remembers about the noodle incident, but doesn't push the envelope. They weren't too bad, anyway. "Or! We could bake a cake together! Yeah.. maybe."

花村陽介 That brow rose higher before offering a smile, " Or we could try both. That way, if the cooking's bad, atleast you won't get all the blame. " Chuckles before stretching slowly.

里中千枝 Manages a grin and swivels on her heel. "All right! Let's go. I've got stuff at home we can work with."

花村陽介 Blinks at the quickness of her turn before settling on following the female, " Sounds good to me. Haven't gone grocery shopping for home yet. " A small yawn slips out of him.

里中千枝 Gently nudges his side and keeps her grin up. "Hey. Don't get tired on me yet. We've got a birthday celebration to have tonight~"

花村陽介 A soft 'oof' eluded him at the nudge before grinning a bit, " Sorry. Guess energy drinks are bad. " Chuckles softly, rummaging in that bag for caffeine. Never hurts to have one handy.

里中千枝 Huffs quietly, irritated. "You drink way too many of those.." Grumbles under her breath and pulls him along.

花村陽介 " H-Hey! " Stumbles a bit, ceasing his search at suddenly being pulled along, trying to keep up with her, " They keep me running ya know? "

里中千枝 "You should get more sleep then. Keep at it and your blood's gonna be the energy drink." Sticks her tongue out at him, looping her arm through his and linking them together.

花村陽介 " Maybe. Hey, atleast I'll stay energetic! " Snickers at her before allowing his arm to be linked with hers, keeping his pace in times with the Chariot's. Was glad for a cool night, that summer weather being way too hot.

里中千枝 "Sometimes that energy is a little too much.." Laughs quietly and hums slightly, the other arm keeping the gift practically glued to her hip as she walks along with the Magician, deciding her house isn't too far away.

花村陽介 " It works really great for battles. " Grins sheepishly, that head soon leaning to get a look at the box, wondering why the woman was carrying it around, failing to piece the part that it was for him, following along.

里中千枝 "Yeah. Maybe that's it's only good quality." Closes her eyes, continuing to saunter along. It's like she's got this path memorized, each bump in the road and each curve, every bend. Which she does.

花村陽介 " But atleast it's good for something~. " Thinks this is the perfect excuse, so sticks with it. Is careful of the bumps and such, not wanting to eat pavement.

里中千枝 "I guess." Shrugs gently and opens her eyes, only to once more revel in the beauty of the small town at night, reminding herself to stick to the sidewalk this time around. Still has the bandages to remind herself of that fiasco.. and doesn't want to go through it again.

花村陽介 Had nearly forgotten that tragedy, but walking like this had the Magician remember, and subconsciously had that grip tighten. That was his main reason as to why if she was sure about going out to eat. He tried not to worry, but that was easier said than done, a soft breath leaving him as he tried to tune out that night, and trying to enjoy /this/ night.

里中千枝 Notes the tightening grip and glances up toward him, but doesn't make a second gander. Knows full well why, and doesn't bring it up, shaking her head as if to shake the thought from her mind. Pushes on, turning, and making the way up the road toward the house right at the end, stomach growling a little bit too loudly for her tastes.

花村陽介 Continues on, watching the ground for a bit, a slight relief escaping him once they were down the street and away from that main road. Not even aware he had been on edge, that grip easing up slowly, looking up towards the sky, admiring those stars up above.

里中千枝 Keeps an eye on him like she's afraid he's going to slip from her grasp if she doesn't, the faintest of smiles tugging at the corners of her lips. Shifts the small box into her jacket's pocket and points at a constellation up above, observing the stars and how some of them shined stronger than others. "There's this story that the two stars that twinkle the brightest resemble lovers. Rise told me that a while back.. sounded silly to me."

花村陽介 Blinks slowly before coming out of his train of thought upon hearing that voice speak. Slowly looks up toward said spot amongst the sky, raising a brow, " Oh? Coming from Risette, it all makes sense when it comes to her logic. Care to tell me the story? " Relaxes slightly now, aware that they were close to her house.

里中千枝 Moves her finger to the other spot, picking out the other brightest star. "It was like a Romeo and Juliet thing, but God took pity on them and transformed them into stars. And they were placed in the sky as the brightest ones, resembling their never-ending love or something.. And it's said that on some nights they're placed right next to each other." Shrugs slightly, rummaging for her keys at that point. "It's silly, but.."

花村陽介 Looks to the two spots, smiling at the story, eyes never diverting anywhere else, " I think it's romantic. " Blinks slowly, " Uh..you mean like now? " Points to the sky at the two brightest stars now residing against each other. Tilts his head in wonder and smiles, since stars sure know how to be sweet on some nights.

里中千枝 Manages her own smile and nods slowly, pressing the side of her hand against his as if to signify the other star. Cranes her neck and laughs quietly. "Yeah. Like that." Is totally content with the thought of this story. It's cute, it really is. Isn't really a sucker for romantic stories, but likes it anyway.

花村陽介 Blinks at feeling that hand before scratching a vaguely flushing cheek, a soft sigh of content leaving him, feeling that anxiety leaving him for now, " Sooo..what are we making? Not noodles I hope. " Tries not to chuckle, afraid of getting punted.

里中千枝 Lowers her hand and fishes out her keys, unlocking the front door and tugging him along, but not before elbowing him and childishly sticking her tongue out at him. "I think my mom left out some steak for me to make, actually. But she and Dad left on business again, and my brother's still at college. So we have the house to ourselves if you wanna stay the night 'cause it's late."

花村陽介 " H-Hey, no abusing the birthday boy! " Fakes a frown before walking in after her, shutting that door behind him. For the first time, he got a good look at her house, " Nice house Satonaka. " Wanders along the couch with a small yawn.

里中千枝 Shrugs slightly and keeps walking along, heading toward the kitchen. "It's nothing special." Tugs him toward her. "C'mon~ Let's get cooking."

花村陽介 Removes that bag off his person before those headphones soon followed, placing it on a spot on that couch. Heads to that kitchen, removing that school jacket and placing it over a chair, " So what are we cooking? "

里中千枝 "I thought I told you.. well, wait.." Swerves into the kitchen and peeks. Surely, there it is -- the prized steak. Uncooked. "Aaah, my mom knows just what to leave out~! Should be easy enough.."

花村陽介 " Uh..Sorry. Guess I forgot. " Grins in vague embarrassment before watching her quietly. Smiles at her excitement for the beloved meat product that was out for Chie's amusement, " Just toss it on the grill and let it go right? "

里中千枝 Draws her arm back from his and picks the plate up. "Yup! Seems simple. Hey, could you go turn the flames on? It's right outside. Just turn the nobs all the way to the right." Scurries to look through the spice cabinet soon after.

花村陽介 Blinks at listening to her, settling on going to do so, stepping out to get that grill going. Examines the knobs before proceeding to turn them, watching and waiting for the grill to go.. The night was rather cool to stand out and enjoy, closing those eyes to soak it in.

里中千枝 Picks out a few different spices and puts a little bit of each of them in a bowl, mixing them together. Well.. it.. can't be that bad, right? Has seen some top-notch chefs do so on TV before. Slathers the rub onto the meat and grins, washing off her hands before waltzing outside with the plate at hand. "Hey, Hanamura~ Does this look good, or what?"

花村陽介 Jumps when he threw a match at it, and a quick flash of fire emitted, but felt relief when it died to small flames. Blinks at hearing the woman come out with that prepared meat, glancing over to inspect it, " Uh Chie..don't you think that rub layer is a little too thick? " Pokes at it curiously before shrugging, " I think most of it will burn off anyway, so toss it in woman! "

里中千枝 Peeks at the meat again and only finds herself licking her lips, stomach rumbling in near immediate protest. Takes a pair of tongs and pries the meat off of the dish, setting it onto the hot grill, closing the top of it mere moments afterward. "There! I bet it'll be fine. It can't be that hard to screw up steak.. pff."

花村陽介 Caught that rumbling in her stomach before remembering, " Oh! " Rushes back into the house, snatching that bag before coming back outside, " In the meantime~! " Pulls out a brown paper bag, holding it out for the shorter brunette, " Steak skewers my lady~? " Only had two, but hopefully it would calm the grumbling stomach of hers a bit.

里中千枝 Suddenly remembers the gift in her pocket, but says nothing of it. Glances up as soon as he comes back, eyes widening and practically sparkling in wonder. Oh, thank God for him saving the day. And her hunger. Snatches the stick from him and nibbles away, pulling back for a moment to press a kiss to his cheek -- close to the corner of his lips seeing as she wasn't paying attention. "Aww. Giving on your own birthday? I'm impressed."

花村陽介 Smiles as she took the food, but felt a cheek grow hot at the sudden kiss, due to the location of it, chuckling soon after, " Well, just because it's the day I was born, doesn't mean I have to be selfish. " Grins sheepishly, lifting that lid for a quick peek, " How do I know if it's okay to flip yet. "

里中千枝 Notes the blush and keeps a faint grin playing on her lips. Keeps nibbling along, turning her head to glance over toward the steak. "Smell and color.. I guess. Ehhh, give it another minute. You're acting impatient."

花村陽介 Shuts that lid again before blinking at hearing her statement. In truth, he was a bit on the hungry side, but not so strong as Chie was, hence sacrificing his food so she could feel a bit better. But of course, keeps quiet before poking at the grill, " I just don't want us eating burnt meat is all. Carbon isn't good for your health you know? " Smiles at her before taking a seat slowly, yawning and slouching in it before looking back up to the sky, " I think it's a nice night. "

里中千枝 Nods slowly in agreement after another few beats of silence, slinking up behind him and sliding her arms around his neck, gently tugging herself to the back of the chair and setting her chin on his shoulder, sniffing the air. "It's not too cold.. a little, but it's not overwhelming." Grins and closes her eyes. Is obviously a lot more comfortable around him now. "Yeah. It's nice."

花村陽介 Had closed those eyes, almost ready to fall asleep before being startled at the arms that now claimed his neck. Still has to get used to the woman's hugs and such, having been able to relax a little more around her. Those punts leave a mark, you know? Allows his shoulders to relax a bit before going back to observe the sky, admiring the stars, " Wouldn't it be nice to be able to go to space and live in the stars for a day? " Is unaware of his thoughts becoming voiced, having fallen lost in thought.

里中千枝 Eases off of him for a moment to check the steak, taking the tongs and flipping it over. Bounces her weight from foot to foot, excited by both the smell of the spices and the meat in general, closing the lid and moving back. Slides those arms back around his neck and rests her cheek against his shoulder, making sure to be careful of the gift in her pocket. "Maybe it could be like.. jumping from puddle to puddle in the rain, except with stars.~"

花村陽介 Slowly had fallen asleep in the duration of her short trip tot he grill, keeping himself in the current position, seeing as it seemed to be comfortable enough. But those eyelids fluttered open upon feeling those arms claim their place once more, slowly glancing towards her briefly before looking back up to the stars, " Just being surrounded by them would be the best day ever. Can you imagine? It'd be like standing in a rain of glitter! " Smiles at the thought, apparently now comfortable around the woman that his usually silenced thoughts were now being known to the world..well, just to Chie for the most part.

里中千枝 Stays completely comfortable against him, obviously not too fazed by the sleepiness of the Magician. Hums quietly as she listens to the steak sizzle against the grill, almost dozing off herself for a moment. Reopens her eyes afterward to peer at the other, head tilting off to the side in something akin to childish wonder. "And the moon could guide us as we wander through a maze of them.. And find the two brightest ones, yeah?" Ah, sweet relevance. Feels like one of two stars.. and he's the other. And that thought might have been the reason a light blush taints her cheeks.

花村陽介 Fails to notice the blush, due to her standing behind him, watching the stars still showed themselves off by being as bright as possible tonight. Smiles at hearing her, tilting his head towards the opposite direction, " Think if we found them, we could ask for the actual story of how they came to be? " Spoke as if it was the simplest trip to plan, as if it were a daily possibility of achieving such a goal, " Maybe we can find the Milky Way! "

里中千枝 Giggles lightly, a little more girlish than what she's generally used to. But she's opening up a little bit more.. Just slightly. Definitely easing up around the other brunette. Imagines it all, mapping it out in her mind with vivid precision, and sighs dreamily. "I bet we could. I mean.. it seems like we can do anything together these days. Doesn't it?" Tilts her head and glances at him from the corner of her eye.

花村陽介 Picks up on the giggle, smiling more as he found it to be rather cute if anything. In all honesty, still struggling to open up even the slightest. Mouthing his thoughts out loud was common for him when he was alone, that being only a tinge of him being open. Examines the sky as if trying to find that said area that was mentioned a few minutes ago, " It'd be awesome! " Blinks at hearing her second statement..before a dark blush claimed his cheeks, not having to expect the woman to toss a sentence his way in that fashion, " Eheh..Yeah, it seems that way.. " Tries to hide his face behind his hands, having used them in a fashion as if he was thinking.

里中千枝 Nods briefly and tightens her hold on him, but not to the extent of choking him. Doesn't want him dead on his birthday, after all! Keeps watch on him and notes the blush, a playful smirk tugging on her lips as she pulls away from him again, shuffling back toward the grill. Flips it again to check the color and takes it off of the heat, putting it on the plate. "Looks like it's done~!"

花村陽介 Feels that hold tighten before relaxing more upon release of his neck. Nope, dying on this day would be the worst moment ever. As the Chariot moved away to attend to the meal they were trying to prepare, Yosuke was quick in attempting to dispel the blush before he was mocked for it. Those eyes soon looked over when the female announced that the late night dinner was served, " Finally! I'm starving. " Grins before going about on turning off the grill, since last thing they ever needed was causing the house to set on fire, or an explosion.

里中千枝 Glances down at the meat, completely satisfied with the outcome. Waltzing back into the kitchen, she sets it down and cuts it up into two equal parts, setting one on one plate and the leftovers on the other. Yanks some proper utensils from a drawer and flops onto the couch, patting the seat beside her. "Let's hope this is at least.. somewhat okay.." Sheepish grin.

花村陽介 Calmly follows that female back into the house before watching her disappear into the kitchen, placing the bag back to its previous location on the couch. Blinks at hearing that pat, making his way over and soon plopped next to Chie, glancing towards the meat that rested on that plate, " It..looks safe enough. " Offers a smile.

里中千枝 "Well. You're the birthday boy. Go on." Nudges him slightly, as if she's trying to encourage him to take the first bite. Swallows down any doubt she has and sinks back into the couch. Really doesn't want to poison him, after all. And so she's staying hopeful that it's at least edible.

花村陽介 " Okay.. " Was somewhat hoping she'd take the first bite, but knew his luck, he'd be the one to have to first. Carefully cuts a piece of said cooked meat. Well, atleast there wasn't blood oozing out of it, so that was a good sign. Carefully licks it, but knew that wouldn't get him anywhere, so..just shoves the piece into his mouth and chewed. It was..decent. Somewhat, " Er..Chie what did you put in the rub? "

里中千枝 Watches him with wide, hopeful eyes, head tilting off to the side. ... He's not choking. And he's still breathing. Therefore, she feels pretty damn good about herself so far. /So far/. Pauses to recollect and reconsider, peering up toward the ceiling in brief thought. "Umm.. there was some cumin, a pinch of cinnamon, some black pepper.. A few other things. Why?"

花村陽介 Forces down the chunk he had been eating before realizing..why did he mouth burn? It couldn't have been the heat of the meat, the air in here sure had cool it down near instantly..so now he wondered what the woman went and stuck on it, " ..Because I can't feel my mouth. And it feels like it's on fire. " Tried to remain completely calm about this, not wanting to panic or cause the brunette to freak out in believing she's killing him. The meat was edible, but the rub..well, now his throat felt like someone had gone and thrown a match in there.

里中千枝 Slowly slices into her own slab of meat and sticks it into her mouth, chewing and considering. ... It really didn't taste that bad. But moments after, she realizes that it feels like there's a raging fire in her mouth. Widens eyes and immediately bolts to the fridge, grabbing two bottles of water and pretty much chucking the other one at the Magician. "H-Holy crap!"

花村陽介 By the time the woman had registered the after effect of whatever the hell was in that blend of spices, the brunette had felt a sweat begin to build up. But seeing her dart off to the kitchen was enough to tell him that Chie had felt the burn kick in as well, a hand having fan his mouth in hopes of cooling the raging fire within. Tears were even forming around his eyes! But then was greeted to the face with a bottle of water, " Shit, my eye! " He'd worry about it later, quickly opening that bottle of water, tilting it back once it was on his lips to begin quickly consuming the cool beverage to subdue the heat.

里中千枝 Pries that cap off of the bottle and pretty much downs the bottle in one fell swoop, panting heavily before tossing it aside and successfully into the trash. Flops back next to him on the couch and groans quietly, clearly not very content with the result of her food. "Ugh.. a little too hot.." An understatement. Leans against him, cheek pressed against his side with a heavy sigh.

花村陽介 Never ceased in the consumption process until there wasn't a drop left in that bottle, moving it away in order to breathe again..and found relief in the flames that began to incinerate his stomach had gone up in smoke. A heavy sigh eluded him, now slouching against that couch before using whatever coldness the container withheld towards the aching eye, " Next time, warn me. I'm getting a black eye on my birthday, which is the best gift ever. " Came the exhausted words as having to stand the pain of the spicy ingredient on that meat was a work out on it's own. But he still wanted to eat it, because he was starving! " Maybe..if we scrape off some of the rub, it could still be saved? "

里中千枝 Manages the faint outline of a sheepish grin, peeking up toward the other from her slightly awkward position. Sits upright then and takes up her plate from the table, using her fork to brush away some of the spice rub and puffing out her cheeks. "Sorry.. Uh.. I guess we can try?" Tilts her head and pokes at the meat with the three prongs, twisting her lips to the side in consideration. Keeps trying to scrape the rest off before cutting in and chewing, testing the waters.. and coughing. "Agh.. It's better.. bearable.. still a little hot.."

花村陽介 Glances over to her slowly, having tossed away the plastic item, now watching the woman proceed with discarding as much of the ingredients as that simple utensil could manage, " It's fine. Just stings a little. " Continues to observe this simple process, and blinked when the Chariot went first in trying the revised meat product. To which he took up his own fork, cutting a small piece before placing it against his tongue, chewing on it. Coughs a few times before managing to swallow it down..it was perfect! " Hey, you're right, but like this..it's good! Good going Chie~! " Grins, that infamous wink near automatic and becoming visible before taking another piece to munch on, ignoring the fact that a soft outline of bruised skin began to make itself known.

里中千枝 Oh man. Ego surge. Pride surge. Happy Chie is happy. Grins, full-blown now, glancing up toward the other. Hell yes! It's probably just because it's steak, though. The one and only thing she's good at cooking. Keeps cutting along and eating, the rumbling in her stomach being the reason for her continuation. "I can cook! Er.. uh.. well.. sometimes.." Laughs a little nervously and simply leans against the other, a light blush painting her cheeks both from the happiness and the pride. And the wink.

花村陽介 Is glad to have please her! Continues to cut from the other side, frantically trying to fit as much of the meal as he could. Blinks with his mouth somewhat stuff, having being careful to chew and swallow ever piece before he was stuck with the shorter having to save him. Swallows that last piece before grinning, " And apparently I learned how to work a grill today. But hey, we could have beefsteak everyday! " Supports the weight that suddenly rested against him, having gone back to eat more. This was the best meal he ever ate!

里中千枝 Slows herself down a little to savor the meal that she's made for the both of them. Man, when she puts her mind to it and doesn't completely suffocate the meat with heat, she can do some pretty magical things. Hums lightly anyway, pausing her eating to look up at him and keep that wide-set grin up. "Every day? Really?" There go those wide, sparkling eyes, deemed bright with amusement and happiness. She's sure she's never felt this happy before. ... Nope, never.

花村陽介 Savors as much meat as he could in one sitting, stopping when he realized that he could possibly eat the entire thing without noticing. Swallows the last chunk he stuffed into his mouth, soon looking towards the one who stopped eating. And there went that wink once more, " Yup! It's pretty damn good. Can I take some home tomorrow? Of can we eat the other half for lunch? " Seems to be a bit excited in wanting to enjoy more of that meat, but stops at remembering, " Just..make sure to scrape off the rub from that part too. " This was turning out to be the best birthday ever. Sure, his other friends left him voice messages while he was at work, but having a meal made was truly something to be glad for. And he loved all his friends dearly, because they honestly were the best! Especially Chie, having gone that extra mile to cook.

里中千枝 Is a little surprised by his words. Really? He likes it that much? Totally doesn't protest! Nods and slowly shifts off of him, rising to her feet and holding out her hand to take his plate. "I'll store it in the fridge for later. Are you staying over?" Quirks a brow and snatches that plate anyway, making her way toward the kitchen and putting the leftovers into two separate bags, labeling one for herself and the other for Yosuke, drawing a little angry Shadow and saying that if he touches her meat, he's dead. Smiles to herself, content, stuffing both into the fridge and making her way back to the couch.

花村陽介 He loved it! Should convince her to cook it every once in a while. Blinks when she moved away, about to offer his plate before she snatched it away anyway, listening to her as she headed to that kitchen, " If it's alright with you, since it is pretty late. Could be dangerous out there! " Calls back as he stretched slowly, and while she was away, laid down completely on the couch. A short nap was appearing to be the case at the moment, those eyes having closed for a few minutes before they opened when those ears picked up on the footsteps of the woman's. Yosuke sat up slowly before rubbing an eye, " Okay, so what else did you want to do? "

里中千枝 It's not every day that people commend her for her cooking. It's mostly late-night ramen that she eats anyway, and then she burns it off so it doesn't stick with her. Treadmill or some running. Settles herself right next to the other brunette again and stuffs her hands into her pockets, completely having forgotten about the small wrapped box that resides there. Blinks, coming into realization, pulling it out from its hiding spot. "Oh! I.. er.. well.. aha.." Cue another blush. Sort of hesitates, fumbling with it, glancing left and right. Awkward. "S-So! I got you a gift!"

花村陽介 Will be sure to compliment her cooking whenever it came out as good as this steak! Or every time she made the said item of food. Usually just eats whatever he can grab at Junes, and that was the meal for the day. Unless he was at school of course. Slouches a bit in that seat again, blinking upon hearing her speak up, glancing once he heard her fumbling with words..only to spot that small item that was jumping left and right in those hands, " You did? Chie, you didn't have to! The cooking was enough, you know? " Smiles at her, finding the thought rather sweet, due to coming from the being that enjoyed kicking him whenever she had a chance.

里中千枝 Is probably the best out of the four. Then again, she's only ever really focused on cooking steak and that's.. pretty much almost all she eats. Sort of. Kicks her legs back and forth in thought, or perhaps in hesitation. Lets her fingers run along the wrapping paper, and sighs quietly. ... That talk of stars was somewhat important. And now it's coming up to catch with her again. Hands the gift over, puffing out her cheeks. "Ah.. pff, well.. it's to make up for all of those times I didn't get you a gift." Lies. ... Sort of.

花村陽介 Well, the steak was pretty good, so will enjoy every slab of it that he ever gets from the fellow brunette. Tilts his head slowly in curiosity before being offered the gift, carefully taking it, unaware of the fingers brushing along hers. Stares at the small container that now rested in his lap, unsure if he wanted to open this gift, but knew the woman was anxious to see his reaction. So those digits went about undoing the wrapping paper, smiling as he was excited to see what he was being given in celebration of his day of birth.

The brightest one in the sky as according to the legend. But the other one's located on her own phone -- a little Tomoe holding the other star. And so her face ignites again. She specified the details and Kanji did an /excellent/ job. "..."

花村陽介 Once he was done with that wrapping paper, he placed it on the table before opening said box..and finding that phone charm. To which those cheeks instantly flared at seeing the miniature sized Persona that held that bright star in his small hands. She went all out..for him? Holds that small charm in his hands, unaware that a few tears had left him. In all truth, the brunette hadn't expect such a heartfelt gift such as this, maybe a CD or a spare set of headphones, something to his interests...but this..this went beyond that. A hand was quick to wipe at a eye, " Chie..You..It's the best gift anyone's ever given me. " Manages to smile through it, admiring the gift with every ounce of his being.

里中千枝 Slowly, the brunette pulls out her phone and points at the little charm that's dangling off the side. Didn't expect the tears, or the reaction. Only expected a 'thanks' in response. But the reply is more than she could have ever dreamed for. She's very pleased, very happy. It's like her heart's swelling in her chest. Swallows down her words, the second part of the gift, at least for the moment. And those arms coil around the Magician's form, hugging him tight, just to revel in it. "Happy birthday, Yosuke." A gentle whisper. One that lingers along in the air.

花村陽介 Those teary eyes slowly looked over to the woman's phone..only to see that mini Tomoe..holding the other star. Before a word could be uttered, he felt arms go around him, hugging him close..and soon, his own arms went around the Chariot's figure, holding her closely, allowing that charm to dangle off a finger, " Thanks Chie..It really means alot. " Those words were weak, but held the most emotion he had ever mustered in a sentence. Found himself to be completely happy, moving away a bit in order to retrieve his phone, wanting to place it on there before it got misplaced.

里中千枝 Finds herself at the brink of tears mere moments later. Too many emotions in one place.. they were like intoxicating fumes that wouldn't let up and she'd breathed them in, and now she's under their spell. Slowly lowers her arms and her phone, poking at her own charm, smiling gently to herself at the resemblance. Hell, there's even little red squigglies in the shadow of Tomoe's face to resemble a blush. Sets her phone down and fidgets. "There's.. it's.. it's nothing, really." Completely hesitant to bring up what she wants to. Simply lets him put the charm on first.

花村陽介 It took him a few, good tries to get the string through the loop hole, due to the tears that blurred his vision, but after the xth time, he finally got it on there. And it was perfect! Hugs that phone close with the most genuine smile that ever claimed those lips. And his heart caused him to lean over and kiss the female's cheek, wanting to show as much appreciation as possible for the small gift. Soon places his own phone next to hers, unaware that the charms were cuddled together, those stars facing each other, as well as the Personas. That head tilted once more, watching and picking up on the hesitation, " Chie..are you okay? "

里中千枝 Watches him struggle with the little charm and giggles quietly, smiling happily and rubbing at her eyes with her sleeves. The little kiss makes her heart leap in her chest, and it also gives her that little charge she needs to step it up. Why /is/ she so nervous? It's.. not that big of a deal. Or is it? Sucks in a deep breath and calms herself down, peeking at the phones, her smile sticking at the scene. "W-Well.. it's just that I.. er.. want to ask you something, that's all."

花村陽介 Those eyes had watched her as she seemed to be fumbling around in her mind in regards to whatever she was trying to put into words. Those ears perked up at suddenly hearing that tone begin to voice the thoughts for him to hear, " Ask away, Chie. " Offers a soft smile to let know that she didn't need to worry.

里中千枝 Notes the smile and sighs quietly. Is only fearing rejection.. and is staring right into the face of it. Eases her posture and takes in a deep breath. "I-I just.. wanted.. to ask.. if you.. wanted to.. err.. gooutwithme?" A rushed breath. Holy crap, she's practically shaking with nervousness and can only pray he accepts as she tears her eyes away.

Well, wasn't this birthday just full of all these surprises? A blush had smeared back along those cheeks to hearing the other woman suddenly ask him out. Out of all the boys to ever ask out, she chose him. The hated, little Pride of Junes, is who she chose to ask out. Could suddenly feel all those Satonaka fan boys just loathing him even more now. But it didn't matter..because he was willing to give a relationship a try, especially with Chie. And that smile grew, despite the heavy blush, " I'd love to. " were the only words he could muster out into the open air to have reach those ears of the woman's. What a wonderful birthday indeed.

里中千枝 Was completely expecting rejection. But once she notices the blush enveloping his features, her heart goes into overdrive and she can feel it lingering up in her throat by then. Oh man! Grips her hands into light fists, lips trembling for a moment, a wide smile crossing her features before those hands fling around the other's neck, hugging him close again, almost in a vice grip. She wasn't about to let this moment go to waste. "I.. I'm glad.. I thought.. I thought you'd just reject me, or something.."

花村陽介 Those eyelids had fluttered once again in a blink, afraid that he might've said something wrong..before a small sound of surprise escaped him at suddenly feeling that weight against his frame, falling back to wind up laying flat on his back along the couch. Flails slightly, " Don't choke me! " Listens to her speak before averting his gaze with that blush lingering, " Sometimes you can be so dumb Chie. But it's okay. Makes it cute. " Chuckles slightly before a heavy of relief escaped him. It felt..nice. Knowing he'd now have someone that would be willing to dive into his personality and pull out the strings that hid away sides of him that no one ever saw. It felt..heart warming if anything.

里中千枝 Simply remains sprawled out against him, feeling a faint surge of pride linger just beneath the surface. Is more than happy to call herself his, to be with him, just to spend time with him and be in his presence. Especially on his birthday. Loosens up on her grip and laughs nervously, her own blush painting her cheeks a gentle shade of scarlet. And there went the elbow to the gut. "I'm not dumb.. most of the time.." Grumbles under her breath. But makes up for the elbow with a hesitant kiss, figuring it'd seal off the deal, even if the timing was a little awkward.

花村陽介 A sigh of relief left him upon feeling the woman release the near death grip from around his neck, allowing her to use him as a form of a pillow. Guess he could consider that old elementary saying back in the day ' When someone picked on you, it's because they like you '. Thinks this has just been proven, seeing as the female always abused him in one form or another. And now a vague 'oof' left him at the sudden elbow to that full stomach, " Just when it comes to dating. " Chuckles before being stopped at the sudden kiss along his lips, closing his eyes and returning the affection. This would definitely be a memory for his birthday.

里中千枝 Has abused him even prior to the manifestation of her feelings anyway. Will continue to abuse him, but it'll mostly be out of love. Or maybe not. Rolls her eyes in response and huffs quietly, though keeps up the kiss for another moment before pulling away and nestling her head into the crook of his neck, getting comfortable. "Well, I bet /you've/ had a bunch of girls fawning over you. And I've only had one boyfriend." Not meaning Yosuke. But she's not gonna get into that. :|

花村陽介 Is aware of this. His poor rear have withstood many blows. Thinks if he's sweet enough, he might be spared a few times. Held up that kiss until she moved away, smiling soon after, a tiny scoff eluding him, " Right. Like any girl would've fallen for the guy who's ruining their shopping district. " A small sigh left him before looking up into the ceiling, his mind wandering a bit, yawning soon after. Isn't even gonna ask. :I

里中千枝 It's just a way to express her love. She's sure he'll come to understand this with time. But she doesn't quite worry about it now, easing against the other and grinning slightly against the skin of his neck. "And I did. Funny how that works, huh?" Gently pokes at his side, totally dropping the other boyfriend thing. As much as she still feels bad about Saki, she's kind of really sick of hearing him sob over her. @.@

花村陽介 Will be sure to come to realize it as they went along with the days. Glances down and over to her at hearing her response to his statement, a small grin of his own coming to be along his lips, " Yeah. Kinda funny. But you know..I'm glad. " A small chuckle escaped at the poke before keeping arm around her, the other having left to rub an eye. Had a feeling she'd get tired of hearing it. Guess it was too hard of a blow and way too sudden to see her murdered, but know with time that they spend together, he'll finally be able to let go completely. Yosuke had a wonderful woman now, so shoo shoo memory for now.

里中千枝 Wouldn't dare protest against something as simple as this. Sometimes it's nice to let go, to revel in the moment. And this is one of those times, she thinks. Nothing's holding her back from relaxing and finally realizing that those feelings she harbored weren't one-sided. Not if he suddenly ups and accepts her as his own. Lifts her head slightly and steals another kiss before resting back down and muffling a yawn against his neck. "I am too." Warmth rises to her cheeks and she slowly drifts in and out of consciousness, weaving through streams of thought. ... ~

花村陽介 And right now, letting go was something he was doing, wanting to cherish this moment as much as he could. Keeps that smile lingering as she snatched another kiss to keep, hugging that body close to his soon after, " Someone's having fun.. " Yawn " with kisses.. " Finds his eyes struggling to keep themselves open, that body beginning to relax. Best Birthday that he'll never forget for many, many years to come.

里中千枝 It's a phase, she knows it. A girl that'll surface in his memory as one to avenge, one to remember. But the Chariot's already sworn she'll make more of an impact and make a big bang in midst of a supernova. Laughs quietly, registering his words and snuggling against the Magician -- her Magician, at that. "Mm.. A little.." Will remember to bribe Kanji into making more cute things for birthdays and celebrations. For now, they can revel in each other.
