i want to hear a little bit about drake!!
I imagine Changelings to still be pre-fae form. So not the pretty colorful ones YET, they do still exist and are morphs of changelings. But I just refer to their different forms as pre-fae and post-fae where they are dark then they get all fairy/colorful like.
So in this continent Cloverly is on way to the south/west regions I think is a different changeling army and colony. They have a queen, undecided if I want my own queen (probably tbh) or to use Queen chrysalis.... I prefer OC’s so most likely later we’ll introduce his Queen.
Drake is literally one of the top 6-10 other sons/daughters that are like Dukes and Duchesses. Underlings of the crown. Leaders of their individual armies or teams.
They are hungry again. They need more. Their queen demands more. Of course they must remain loyal their queen, so they go. Searching for fresh blood to please their queen.
These pre-fae are very similar to Queen Chrys as to wanting to slowly invade and drain the ponies of all their positive emotions and sometimes even more... Just depends how hungry they are. So they are like parasites, invading a host and taking the place of “normal organs” and then suddenly everything is failing and you still don’t know why. That’s what this colony does as well, they invade other communities and devour them slowly.
Drake is out with a smaller troop of his, He is wise to the hunt. He knows exactly what they are looking for, another true kingdom. For the greatest feast there is? Is alicorn blood.
And it’s out on this hunt that Drake sees her. This spindly looking creature, cheeks shining in the moon light as her hair lifts with the breeze. He comes to a full stop. Her eyes shining like stars, she’s blinking away tears and that’s when he finally notices what is wiping away at her face. Lanky frail wings brush at the glittering light of her cheeks and his breath catches. Never has this happened before, an alicorn just... outside it’s family’s walls. Without it’s guard. Without... anything at all?
The alicorn shuffles those body limbs under a cape of some sort and she ties the knot tight on her own throat. She turns and slinks away from the moonlit pasture. Drake is hesitant to breathe. He can’t spook her, not now. He folds back his sleek translucent wings and trots after her. He’s careful to stay directly in the shadows, if she were to turn and see him it would be over. He had to know if there were more of them. His heart was pounding in his chest as he finally stopped yards away under some large oaks. The alicorn was entering a small hut, crystals and chimes all around it. He hissed under his breath and slinked back. Protective charms, so this alicorn wasn’t as dumb as he hoped.
He would wait. He would watch. This alicorn would be his. His tongue lapped over his fangs and he slipped back into the night.
