Dojo: The unfortunate victim of witnessing Xiaolin-Heylin forbidden romance within a timespan of 1500+ years as a third wheeler against his will XD
"What is it with you two monk baldies crushing on Heylin baddies!? First Dashi, now Omi!? What do you both see in those guys!? Is it the pretty hot faces!? Or the luscious long hair!?"
(Spoiler: It was both XD)

For some unfathomable reason, I had the need to draw XC Chase dancing with XS Omi in his clutches for my XS crossover XC AU 😅 Definitely not plot fitting but still fun to imagine.
Not shown is a seething chained XS Chase XD
Edit: (Added a white lining on Omi's tangzhuang collar since I forgot from the art piece.)
Binge listening to Tim Curry's "Don't Make Me Laugh" from The Pebble and The Penguin movie's soundtrack while tackling this piece from start to finish. Seriously, that song SLAPS and is so XC CHASE 👌🏼

Local 🐉 dad setting boundaries and warning his adopted son's evil immortal warrior boyfriend to NEVER cheat on and corrupt said son.
The aforementioned immortal warrior is DISPLEASED getting intruded in his private time with Omi. He's also considering cooking his annoying dragon-in-law into soup soon 😅
Omi, you better take your dragon dad home to the temple before that happens! XD

A scenario from my take on Chronicles being sequel to Showdown. (Where the characters are in their XS personalities and characteristics, not the horrendous XC ones.)

Thank @scutecaboose for reminding me of my earlier goal to draw gender swap Chomi while I was entertaining the idea of creating monkey Chomi (since there is a lot of Monkey Jack fanart including a Chack version but so rare art of Monkey Omi and Chase) during my morning chat ^^
1st pic: Xiaolin monk/nun, Ami (since Omi's name is derived from the phrase Amituofo (阿弥陀佛), the Chinese transliteration of Sanskrit "Amitabha," means "immeasurable light and immeasurable life", used by Buddhist monks as a greeting, farewell, blessing, or calming chant to reduce anger and cultivate mindfulness) and her Heylin teacher-mentor-to-secret lover, Chase Young! I don't have a girl name for Chase so give me your suggestions if you have any!
2nd pic: Usually Chase wouldn't entertain the use of Shen Gong Wu other than for his grand schemes besides considering them as toys, Chase couldn't help but oblige his protege when the latter decides to use the Monkey Staff along with him to relax on one of their secret meetings/dates. ^^

Rewatching Xiaolin Showdown and going through previous XS reblogs, I noticed Master Fung barely gives Omi much endearing affection and positive reinforcement even though he's capable of doing so to the other monks. (Well, he did show some to Omi at the earlier episodes of Season 1, only to show less and less as the show progressed.) Master Fung is seriously cold and aloof to a little monk whom he raised under the temple's roof.
I'd like to think that as Omi grows older, he would come to the painful reality that the master he cares dearly would never acknowledge his valiant efforts no matter how hard he tries. In the process, he grows closer to Chase Young, rival in alignment yet similar in spirit. Chase filling in the empty void of Omi's heart that Master Fung could never do in the first place.
It would also bring a sense of irony to Master Fung. By the time he realized how much Omi distanced himself away from him and becomes inseparable with Chase, it would be too late to undo the strained relationship between him and his charge.
Dojo would definitely say: I'D TOLD YOU SO! to Master Fung.
I drew this scenario based on an earlier chat with Scute and many observation analysis from the lovely @grasshopperdoingdogpaddle ^^

Anyone who can recognize this tender iconic moment, comment in the comment section! You shall receive a cookie! 🍪 ;)
Context of this pic: In the alternate timeline of XS where Clay is Shoku leader and Good Chase sacrificed his goodness to the Lao Mang Long Soup to save the monks, the monks eventually restore Good Chase back after years of struggle and a long difficult battle.
While Chase was ashamed and fearful that Omi might recoil from all the heinous deeds he had done during his time in evil and possibly still lingering hideous beast form, Omi instead affirmed he still sees Chase as the man he loved all along.
Not seen: the other monks tearing up and Dojo bawling, blowing his snout into a big ass hankie 🤣

This AU is based on Xiaolin Chronicles's retconed evil origin backstory for Chase Young involving an unnecessary generic love triangle which Chase ends up becoming an incel but here, I will tweak it a bit to improve the shitty retcon, try to fit it into a cohesive XS storyline and improve XC Chase's personality by shifting it slowly towards the XS characteristics.
The AU is based on a 2005 movie "The Myth" starring Jackie Chan (Google it to read the full synopsis)
Heads up warning: Mentions and illustration of mild gore, blood and character death.
One more: this AU does NOT follow the Chronicles ass pull of Chase and Omi being related by blood and by bond. No. This is a Chomi AU so you've been warned.
Now, onto the lore details!
In this AU, Omi has a previous incarnation who lived during the same period as Chase, Dashi and Guan (Northern-Southern Dynasties) named Tuo Fo.
Tuo Fo's name came from Amituofo, the Chinese transliteration of the Sanskrit word "Amitabha", meaning immeasurable light and immeasurable life. Ironically, Omi's name also came from the same Buddhist greeting.
Tuo Fo is one of the few caregivers in the Xiaolin Temple.
He is a lesser known figure compared to the legendary Grand Master Dashi and Master Monk Guan.
Tuo was brave enough to approach Chase (whose bitter anger isolated him from the other monks) to tend his injuries after the latter got rejected by Loniani-Nui for Eon and Chase lost a Showdown challenge to Eon.
Tuo was persistent and headstrong in withstanding Chase's venomous verbal defense. Insistent on tending to the injuries to avoid infection.
Tuo's firm yet compassionate stance along with his code of honor in first aid moved Chase to the point he starts catching feelings for the monk caregiver.
The more Tuo and Chase crossed paths after training and missions after the incident, the slow burn from distant associates to friends, close companions and eventually, lovers. They were inseparable by the time Dashi battled Wuya and imprisoned her in a puzzle box.
Both of them find they have similar traits such as the eagerness to learn and their high value of honor.
Tuo mellows Chase's pettiness and helps him mature while Chase encourages Tuo to have more assertion for what he wants instead of being constantly passively self sacrificing his desires for others.
Chase teaches Tuo some self defense and Tuo's tranquil presence helps Chase meditate and hone his water element better. Both create a Shen Gong Wu that will be crucial for the AU's plot.
Chase and Tuo's relationship were met with surprise from the other monks like Guan and Eon. Loniani-Nui is happy for Chase for moving on and finding someone who cares for him deeply and dearly. Dashi teases both monks relentlessly.
The relationship however wasn't enough to deter Chase from his ambition to become the greatest and strongest warrior of all time.
He soon fell prey to the tempting promises from Hannibal Roy Bean who orchestrated his plan in turning Chase to the Heylin Side by taking advantage of Chase's insecurity of being a shadow of Guan's strength and planting doubts regarding Tuo's sincerity towards him.
This caused a strain in Chase and Tuo's relationship, leading to a heated argument that ended with Chase storming off and disappearing on the same night.
A guilt ridden Tuo assisted Eon, Dashi and Guan to search for Chase. The caregiver desperately searched for his missing beloved high and low to no avail.
Coincidentally, a draconic beast was reported attacking nearby villages. It disappeared as fast as it appeared. Tuo prayed no harm from the beast befell on his dear Chase.
The beast soon invaded the Xiaolin Temple. Many casualties mounted. Tuo became occupied providing first aid to the victims.
He bumped into a frantic Loniani-Nui running from the battle. Imagine the horror Tuo felt upon hearing from Loni that the monster attacking the Temple was none other than Chase Young.
Denying and refusing to believe the news, Tuo ran towards the battle to find the beast up against Dashi, Guan and Eon in the ruins of the courtyard.
Shouting at the group to stop, Tuo demanded the beast to show his true self. Cue to horror when the beast morphs into the visage of Chase.
A tense exchange between Chase and Tuo on why the former turned to the Heylin side while the latter clears up the misunderstanding: he never lied about caring for him. Tuo tries to reason with Chase and convince him to give up this carnage, only to be shoved aside by a furious Guan.
The battle soon worsen as Guan's anger towards Chase for betraying their comrades and the Xiaolin increase. Dashi and Eon trying to prevent Guan's temper going overboard while tackling Chase.
Chase was about to land a brutal attack on Guan, only for Tuo to get between them and repel Chase off using a technique Chase taught him: Repulse the Monkey.
A battle between them ensued as both clashed over their bond. Chase being stronger and plummeting Tuo until Eon and Dashi stepped in to save Tuo.
Chase was about to deliver a killing blow on Eon but Tuo took the blow instead, protecting Eon. Getting skewered through the chest by Chase's fist, Tuo stared hurt right into his lover's eyes before collapsing in his arms. Tuo smiled weakly as he apologized for not being strong enough and whispering his true feelings one last time before breathing his last.
Horrified at what he had done, Chase roars his grief and sorrow as he cradled Tuo's lifeless corpse in his arms.
This tragic tale was passed down through generations of Xiaolin warriors as 1500 years passed. Like most myths, the story was altered and the relationship changed or omitted by Master Monk Guan's literary choices portraying the two figures he remembered.
Present time: Ever since he was an infant, Omi had been experiencing nightly dreams of what seems to be a past life centuries ago. Those dreams include a certain handsome, alluring monk making his heart beat fast, only for the dream to shift into a nightmare of him getting killed.
Omi's screams as he woke up clutching his chest, alarmed his friends and guardian dragon, Dojo.
After waking up, Omi barely recall anything from his dreams, only to relive them over again every night.
Regarding the chest pain, it was an unexplainable ailment he suffered throughout his life whenever he slept and/or had a flashback of his past life.
There was no diagnosis of his condition that could be identified by doctors in every clinic and hospital he was admitted to. On his chest, he has a puncture shaped, fist sized birthmark on his chest he had ever since he was found on the temple steps.
Old doodles illustrating the nightmare, Omi's chest ailment and birthmark scar.
A new Shen Gong Wu alert by Dojo prompts the monks into action. For Omi, this thrusts him into eventually reuniting with a youthful immortal being whose history entwines with Omi's existence while being the source of Omi's suffering.
Will Omi rediscover the passionate bond between him and the Heylin Prince Chase Young or be plunged into a repeat of his past incarnation's brutal fate?

So, that's pretty much the details about this AU!
