This is gonna be a super hot take but if you truly can't understand why Max and/or Chloe would want to hang out/be friends with Victoria Chase in the Post-Bae timeline, maybe the answer is that they're just better people than you.

Max/Chloe/Victoria headcanons let’s go:

Max and Victoria share a bond from being in the Darkroom together— this brings them together and apart depending on the day. Victoria is terrible about showing weakness and hates talking about. Sometimes she hates that Max saw her there (even if she didn’t in this timeline) while others she wishes she had Max with it.

Chloe becomes really good at comforting both of them. Max gets clingy so that’s easy. Victoria wants to lash out so she picks a fight with her over something dumb to get her to calm down (Chloe needs this herself sometimes) and then they make out as an apology.

Victoria doesn’t steal clothes— that she wears in public. She totally has a beanie from Chloe and a jacket from Max (despite the jacket not really fitting) that she’ll wear about the house. Chloe hates Victoria’s clothes and Max is too small but she’s taken a necklace from Vic and regularly takes back a jacket that Max stole from her (since she considers it Max’s it counts!) Max steals both of their things regularly and without a hint of a regret.

Max’s parents are supportive if not kinda confused. Chloe’s, well, Chloe-ness got a pass because they knew her as a kid and being polite to them is ingrained into her bones. Victoria had to work a bit harder because of Max’s complaints about her from early on at Blackwell but once Victoria chilled out a bit (because she was trying to hard) they got along ok.
