some random thoughts bouncing in my head about my hc that cypher suffers from immense depersonalization / dissociation. i also have a cyphber verison of this i will post after this

on slow days without missions, cypher tends to wander. well more specifically his mind. it'll drift from one thought to another, unable to string coherent words or sentences. nothing is real to him, nothing feels real. it reminds him of when he lost  everything. that empty, hallow feeling that he cannot seem to shake. and he could sit in that state for hours, days even if it wasn't for omen. the ghoul like man will slink his way into cyphers room and hold him tight. squeeze him gently as if pulling together all the broken pieces of cyphers soul and making them one. and then he'll cradle him close to his chest. while omen might not having a heart beat or breathing for cypher to listen to, the gentle feeling of the mans hands on his back and sides is more than he could ask for. omen will sit with cypher for however long he needs or wants. he'll remind cypher just how much he's worth, how much everyone in the vp needs him, how much he needs him. omen adores cypher with all of his metaphorical heart, he'd go to the ends of both their earth and omega earth just to see the other man smile. and even if cypher doesn't have the words to tell omen just how much he appreciates the help in the moment, the rest of their time will be filled with more cuddles  and hushed whispers of "i love yous" or simple little compliments o keep them both pushing forward and the following morning omen will always find breakfast at his bedside with a tiny note from his wonderful boyfriend reminding him just how dearly he loves him and everything he does for him

on hard mental days for cypher, he often smokes out on the balcony without his mask or anything. it helps clear his head and give him time to relax. he doesn't notice one day when chamber is outside on his own balcony just relaxing, he just takes his normal seat and lights up a cigarette. with the smell being so intense, chamber is quick to notice, glancing over from his balcony to cyphers. he is immediately entranced by cyphers features, eyes soaking in every curve of cyphers face, the way his curly brown hair frames his face and how his lips wrap around the cigarette ever so perfectly. he feels a little bad in the back of his mind for looking, but he can't bring himself to look away from the beautiful face infront of him. cypher eventually notices the presence of chambers staring. he meets the others eyes and they just *stare*. chamber flushes a deep shade of red at having been caught and cypher just smirks n chuckles. after a moment he buts out his cigarette and blows chamber a kiss. he heads back into his room and closes the shade, leaving chamber a blushing mess on his own

there are days where cypher doesn't feel real. he feels all this pain yet none at all. he'll lie in bed for hours unaware of time passing because it just doesn't feel real. chamber knows on those days he needs there. someone to ground him to reality and make it all okay. so chamber will mosey if way into cyphers room after some amount of hours noticing the other has not left his bed. he'll cuddle up beside him and hold him tight, whisper on about random things, talk about his latest mission, or what he has for lunch. remind the moroccan that bad days come and go. he'll tell the spy just how important he is to his go everyone, the protocol, his friends, his new found family. but most important to him. cypher is chambers world. he would go to the ends of the earth to make the man happy. while cypher may still feel unreal, he's glad to have chamber as his anchor. and he'll latch on for the rest of the day. and chamber will gladly stay as long as he needs. bringing him back to earth whenever he floats away.

cyphers love language is very much physical touch. whenever he gets the chance he is cuddling with chamber, little or big spoon, he loves it all. he loves being as close as physically possible, legs intertwined, face pressed into the others neck, arms wrapped around each other oh so tightly. he loves the warmth of chambers body, he loves the safeness he feels when chamber holds him. he loves being able to forget everything and let his walls down. because he loves that man. he is like the light at the end of the tunnel and he'd walk towards it forever. he'd give anything to see chambers smile again and again. he is a love smitten fool, and gods be damned if they were gonna change that.
