Ambition
“We harnessed whole planets and their gravity to chase down the comet.“
The European Space Agency made this seven-minute long film to raise awareness and excitement for the Rosetta/Philae mission.
Because chasing down a comet isn’t exciting enough, obviously.
For even more excitement, Rosetta took a friend - Philae - which landed on the comet while Roestta orbited it. Rosetta even got pictures of Philae on the comet.
The film itself is, I think, a very well written and well acted short story that is dripping with believeability. It’s a great example of how you can pack a lot of character exploration and scientific knowledge into a very short film.
It feels much bigger than it is.
I, personally, want to see these characters explore more of the universe together and take us along for the ride.
