Jasmine: What color looks best on you?
❝Never given too much thought to it, really. I would assume black and blue, since I wear those most often. But outside of that, perhaps purple?❞
Poinsettia: Favorite holiday dish?
❝I’ve never been a terribly big fan of chocolate, if I’m honest. However, when I was younger, my Nan used to make an amazing bûche de Noël; it was always the highlight of our holiday meals together.❞
Daffodil: What’s the most thoughtful present you’ve ever received?
❝When I turned six, the boy who lived up the road gave me a doll because mum had lost mine. I don’t think anyone’s ever been thoughtful enough to give me something I once loved but lost since then.❞
Violet: Do you like where you’re from?
❝Absolutely. It’s such a quaint little town; everyone is usually very friendly.❞
Hogwarts Halls | 9.1.77
The first day of school had never been so busy, so hectic, and just so…m u c h. Lily loved it though, the mix of excitement and apprehension with a hint of dread, that was palpable in the changing autumn air, the smell of new parchment, fresh ink, and the scribbling sound her favorite quills made. Hogwarts. Now though, it was after the opening feast, and as she made her way up with a group of first years back to show them to their corridors, she jumped in surprise at someone scaring her. Though it was her fault entirely for not paying attention, Lily still let out an indignant, "Oi!"
Looking at the person who seemed to have scared her, it was the boy who was supposed to be the Head Boy to her Head Girl, James Potter. In her head, silently she prayed that she wouldn't have to
"You, James Potter, need to make your presence more known -- though I'm not sure how that's even possible -- please, and thank you. I don't need to have a coronary before the school years even started." Her voice wasn't harsh as it was authoritative with a hint of exhaustion. Lily was practically fantasizing about lying down in her bed due to how tired she was.
