Local Mother starts New Year with a new career

Come celebrate the New Year with fresh stand-up comedy from local up and coming comedians. The first Wednesday of every month, Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham, MA will host a stand-up comedy open mic night, starting January 6, 2016 at 8:00p.m.
The line-up for January includes the comedy stylings of Framingham resident Kenya Claytor. A House Manager at ImprovBoston Comedy Club and single mother of two young men, both of whom graduated from the Framingham Public School system, Kenya brings a fresh and unique perspective to raising children in this modern age.
On November 4, 2015, Amazing Things Arts Center revived Framingham’s stand-up comedy open mic night (a tradition lost for some fifteen years) and on that night, Kenya Claytor made her stand-up debut to rave reviews from ATAC. She returned the next month and performed another amazing routine.
Claytor covers topics ranging from her “anti-Martha Stewart-ness”, to the trouble with growing up with a weird name, to her favorite ways of exacting revenge on her children. Her ability to bring any story to life with an incredible twist of dark humor gives her a niche that not many other comedians have.
The upcoming year is sure to be full of exceptional comedy delivered by this young lady and the first chance to see her take over 2016 will be on Wednesday January 6.
