Dirty Little Secret || Chasper
Charlotte’s face always glowed right afterwards. Even though they weren’t doing that, she still always ended up completely satisfied with these “study sessions” with Jasper. “I love seeing that I can make you happy,” he whispered in her ear, hands still wrapped around her little body as he laid on top of her. She simply smiled at him. “I don’t wanna let go, but I know Henry’s gonna be here soon.”
“He’ll hit the window with a pebble before he climbs up. Our secret is safe for a little bit longer.”
“I love being your dirty little secret,” Jasper said, a more normal volume tone, now.
She furrowed her eyebrows and slid from beneath him to look at his face. “You’re not my dirty little secret. That would imply that I’m embarrassed or something, and that’s not the case. If people found out, then things might change. I don’t want things to change. Don’t… say that again. Dirty little secret.” She was honestly offended.
Jasper scoffed and shrugged his shoulders, “Okay. But, I think we both know that it would definitely be embarrassing for you to admit that the smartest girl in the Swellview school system is involved with the trashy dumb boy with crap parents. It’s okay. I know who I am, Charlotte…”
Now, she sat up abruptly, even more offended, “I know who you are too! And… Yes… It can be argued that your parents are crap, but that doesn’t mean that you’re trashy and you aren’t dumb. That’s not even the proper way to use that term, and if what you were looking for was something self deprecating towards your intelligence, well… No - you aren’t the SMARTEST person, but you surely aren’t unintelligent. Just kinda gullible, at times. None of that matters, because I AM involved with you and I wouldn’t be, if it was embarrassing to me. I just like what we have right now. I like that nobody else knows and nobody else gets in the way. It’s a good, juicy secret. What about you? If people knew that you were messing around with the nerdiest person in the entire school…”
“They’d pat me on the back and wonder how I did it,” Jasper said.
“That’s true. There’s a different set of standards for boys. I date someone unexpected and it’s ‘What were you thinking?’ You date someone unexpected and it’s “Good job!” But… That’s exactly the kind of stuff I don’t want us to have to deal with. I like us where we are.”
“I do too.” He leaned in and she met his kiss. They stayed there a while, but he wound up back on top of her and moving against her again, so that they didn’t hear Henry’s pebble and didn’t stop until they heard him opening the window. Both of them jumped up and picked up their books. Jasper’s was upside down.
Henry stepped in and said, “Sorry. I threw the pebble so I wouldn’t interrupt the makeout session. Next time, I’ll throw two.”
“Makeout session?” Charlotte said. “The only thing we’re making out is progress in these studies.”
“Right!” Jasper agreed. Book still upside down. Charlotte tried to nonchalantly turn it around for him.
Henry commented, “You’ve got Char’s lip gloss all over your mouth.”
“She let me borrow some.”
“It’s also all over both of your necks.”
“Dang it Soup Cooler Botanicals!” Charlotte said and Jasper just shut his textbook, and rubbed her back.
“Hen.. If you could… not tell anybody? I don’t want this to look bad on Char…” Charlotte furrowed her eyebrows. Had he not heard anything that she had told him? “Like… I know it’s nothing for her to be embarrassed about, but we’re alone a lot and I don’t want people to think that she’s doing stuff she isn’t doing or getting in her business and making assumptions and stuff.”
“Nobody cares, but okay. I won’t tell.” He opened his backpack, “Now… did anybody actually start the homework, or is it the usual neither of you even need to study, but you begin sessions an hour before I get here so you can be naughty?”
“Nobody did any work,” Jasper admitted.
Charlotte said, “Homework.”
They both smirked and Henry opened his textbook. “I hope you washed your hands!” They rolled their eyes. Goodness. What the heck did he think that they were in here doing?
