Most admirable quality: “I’d say Bryce’s most admirable quality is umm... his intelligence. Man’s smart. And he seems to use it wisely. Most of the time.”

Most attractive physical feature: “Uhhhh... I don’t know. I mean... I guess... his hair? I don’t know. I haven’t really thought about it.”

Most annoying habit: “He keeps pissing off my sister. Like... Fury’s mercy. You’d think he’d learn.”

Something they would like to do with them: “Travel. He’s pretty road savvy. I’d love to see more of the world.

Dwen & Bryce

Most admirable quality: “His wish to see Ishgard in a better way. More equitable and such. And the efforts he’s made to protect his sister.”

Most attractive physical feature: “He’s got nice hands.”

Most annoying habit: “He’s got this sense of... perverseness to him. It’s not quite chauvinistic. But he skirts the line pretty close sometimes.”

Something they would like to do with them: “I would like to see my friendship with Bryce grow stronger. I know that’s not a specific activity. But... it’s what I want.”

Dwen & Chastity

Most admirable quality: “She’s survived so much. And flourishing so well, now that she’s safe and cared for. She’s taking her fate into her own hands and running with it.”

Most attractive physical feature: “Her blonde curls are so pretty. Blonde is such a nice hair color.”

Most annoying habit: “She’s still so shy. So sure that someone’s going to lash out at her. I know she can’t help it. And that only time will heal her of what was done to her. But... I kinda want to just take her by the shoulders and remind her, every time, I can never be upset by her.”

Something they would like to do with them: “Oh by the Fury. There’s so much. I want to take her places. Show her things to learn. See her grow into the lovely woman I know she’ll be.”

Most admirable quality: “Her positivity. And her willingness to try new things. She’s a good kid. A really good kid.”

Most attractive physical feature: “I like her smile. She’s so open.”

Most annoying habit: “Her shyness. Kiddo could use a bit more confidence.”

Something they would like to do with them: “I would love to show her some of the animals I’ve observed in the Sea of Clouds.”

Better Late

To the house of Lady Deschamps on the second day of Heavensturn was delivered a small package, wrapped with unpracticed hands. Inside was a painted card featuring a blue butterfly in flight. It was clear that the artist was a novice, or even a very early beginner, in the art of painting. Along with the card was a handwritten note in print that was very familiar to Annette.

‘Dearest Fairy Lady,

It is my utmost apology that this gift comes to you so late after the holiday... I’m afraid to say my first three attempts to get this picture right resulted in spectacular failure of shaky hands and spilled paint. Though Lord Shadowstar assures me that such transgressions are naught but the steps of learning. Still I wished your gift to be most perfect. 

As you are no doubt aware, Lord Shadowstar has been instructing me in this fine art since my introduction to his house. From the first day I made it my mission to complete the most perfect Starlight gift for you. 

The butterfly was chosen for both it’s beauty and how it can transform from a strange little bug into such a beautiful flying thing. It reminds me of how you helped me in every way you did. Were it not for your influential letters, I fear I might still be a sad little caterpillar crushed beneath the foot of my household.

And so I put to paper in the only way I could to describe the joy and happiness you have brought me for being my saving grace all those years ago.

I hope your Starlight was one of great joy, and that many more will come. I look forward to next year when I might present to you a painting of much greater skill and dedication.

Starshield Family Letterhead

Delivered, along with a lovely bouquet of purple irises, to the door of the house Deschamps. Madam Deschamps, Greetings to you, Madam, and I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. Imagine my surprise upon discovering that the special Fairy Godmother to whom my younger sister had spent her last few years clinging to and quoting rather often was none other then the great Lady Deschamps! I dare say it has been far too long since I have had the oportunity to gaze upon your seasoned beauty, or be in the presence of your wisdom. Perhaps, with recent events what they are, you may again find me upon your doorstep. (Or perhaps even in the mud of your garden?) Though, all jesting aside, I wish to express my thanks to you, Dear Lady, for all you have done for my younger sister Chastity. She told me today that she would be sending you a letter along so I felt the need to take pen to paper and send mine own as well. Now of course the tone of any letter from me would be incomplete should I not turn it to a business question of sorts. It is my understanding, from the many stories you used to bestow upon me when I was but a lad, that you and my Grandmother were something of cohourts in your younger years? My own Father, of course, believes any business from your house to be of little consenquences. But of course the man would likely call any woman a lier for telling him the sky was blue or ice was cold! So I find myself now in the unique position of requesting a business meeting with yourself so as to establish you both a benifactor for my younger sister's personal life, as well as inquire into any dealings you feel would benifit my new business ventures, or even our two families together. 3 Years Later..

Chastity clutches the letter she had written and smiles at Ceridwen, handing it quickly to the post Moogle moments later. She gives a giddy giggle. It was the first letter she had ever written to her special Fairy Lady in which she revealed who she really was. "I hope she accepts an invitation to tea..." She watches the Moogle drift off. Dearest Fairy Lady, In these turblent days in mine own home I find myself often looking back upon the letters I've previously sent and each calms my heart. It has been nearly a year since I have felt safe enough in my situation to find time to pen you a new letter and so upon this paper I pour all of my gratitude for your patience with my childish questions and concerns. Coming across your letters upon my window after sending my curious prayers was nothing short of a breath of fresh air for each one I was given. I will forever forgive your first tresspass upon my personal mail in answering a scared child's prayer to our Great Lady with a lovely letter of hope and inspiration. From that day my relationship with my oldest brother grew into nothing short of wonderful. He has proved time and time again that he is a good and kind man, who holds our dear Lady in his heart as much as any who are zealous in our worship. The past year however my life has been turned nearly upon it's head. As you no doubt have gathered from my dictation in letters I am yet a child, however upon this last year I have grown into something more then that and have caught the eye and ire of my second brother and father. Never before have I had the freedom to write about the horrors they dealt upon me, but as my oldest brother finally secured safety of my person I now feel free to impress upon you, my dearest fairy lady, how terrible it truly was. I ramble in this letter, already excited for the return letter I know will be coming soon to me. Please forgive this young girl's excessiveness, but it is simply my hope that you know how much you have meant to me during the hardest years that I suffered at the hands of my family. I would like to, at your go ahead, continue to pen letters for advice to you. I find myself having little by way of parental advice and my oldest brother has told me that if I found someone who is not only willing to listen to my issues but give sound advice back then I should not close such an avenue. The good lady whom I now find myself spending much time with has also informed me that I should inquire about tea with you some time soon. She has told me that, having met you in person as she has, you are a wonderful and wise woman full of useful information and interesting company. And so I end my letter here with once more sending you thanks, for many letters and the last few years of being my special Fairy Lady. Mis-Delivered Letter

3 Years Prior to current events... Back and forth flew an energetic little delivery Moogle, new to their job. The first delivery of the day? A letter to… the fury Halone. The poor delivery Moogle had no idea where to even start to deliver this letter that they’d picked up in the delivery box. So up and down the street it fluttered. Finally, making the decision that a letter to a fury was something akin to just an empty wish for the one who had sent it, they drop it harmlessly into a delivery box a few streets away. Whoever picked it up would either simply toss it away, or find a proper place fitting a letter of such strange addressing. “Dearest Halone, I know all I must do to earn your eye is to pray but today my fears I believe are beyond prayer. Father has informed me that I’ve a second older brother who will be returning home from Ul’dah soon. I’m afraid he will be just the same as Father and my brother… the one I already knew about.
