Her palms were sweating a bit as she stood at the door. She felt bad for what she’d said, and not only that, but she missed her friend. She had a box of nice assorted teas that she knew she’d seen in his kitchen before. Finally, sucking up what little bits of pride she had left, Olivia knocked on the office door before opening it. She didn’t wait for a response before opening the door. If he was there, fine, she’d confront this, and if he wasn’t she could just write it all on a piece of paper and leave the teas on the desk then leave. “Basil, can we talk?” she said as she stepped into the office.
