The week leading up to a full moon, especially the few days prior, was always difficult for Adam. He knew what was to come and as much as he prepared for it each month things never seemed to get easier. Belle had been spending a lot of extra time at his house at his request and now he wasn’t sure how to ask her for the space he needed to keep his skeletons in the closet and make sure she didn’t get hurt. Stress lead to drinking which is why he hadn’t really been productive work wise. He’d tried to do some work from home but wasn’t proving successful. He was exhausted and already pretty before two in the afternoon. At one point he’d fallen asleep in his chair, head leaning back and arms dangling to his sides. He was woken up very suddenly when he heard the door to his home office be pushed open and jolted awake to the point he fell off of the chair and onto the floor. “Ow!” he yelled out as he hit his head on his desk as he tried to stand back up. “What the hell is with all the noise?” he asked, annoyed he was being disturbed. When he saw Claude he sighed and sat back in the chair, rubbing his tired eyes that had dark circles beneath them. “You better not have come here to bitch at me because I’m not in the mood.”
