Considering that the first thing anyone had said to him on coming into town was that he had missed some sort of masquerade, he shouldn’t have been surprised that there would be theme parties more often than just the one he missed.
He had fully intended to skip the party, the seventies weren’t his thing, but Zoe hadn’t taken no for an answer, which was why he found himself wearing bell bottoms and tie dye, doing shots at the open bar as he tried to ignore all the horrible trends that never should’ve made a comeback.
The girl next to him was wearing long, dangling earrings that had gotten wrapped around her hair. Reaching over her untangled her hair from her earring, realizing afterwards that he probably should’ve said something first. “I promise I wasn’t making a move on you, your earring was caught in your hair. Those are…nice….earrings.”
