Great. The only viewing room with any spare seats and who does she bump into at the door? Lara, of course. Saph was one to hold grudges, she couldn’t even remember what they had disagreed about the last time, but she knew she didn’t like her, so her face changed from permanent scowl to a deeper one as she slid by. “I’m only here because there’s no room in the others” she clarified before she took a seat, kicking her feet up onto another chair, her heavy boots clanking on the metal.

Someone had given Emme a chocolate biscuit, which was now all over her face and hands, and Abel was desperately looking for some sort of wipe before she spread it onto something expensive. “No, no” he called, reaching out for her, but it was too late, Emme had rubbed her grubby little hands all over Lara’s leg, the closest thing to her at that moment. “Shit, I’m sorry, I’ll— I’m looking for wipes, I’ll find some for you”

Elm scratched at the itchy material of his outfit for the parade, huffing a bit. He’d only ever really worn comfy, warm clothes, practical rather than fashionable, so dressing up to parade around for the people of Panem seemed alien to him. “You sure I can’t just wear one of my own shirts from home?” He tried, for the third time that evening.

Dale was frowning, which wasn’t unusual. He was staring, out towards the dance floor where only two people stood, doing the worm, which was terribly unsophisticated, and he wondered if he really was at the presidential ball, or if he’d accidentally stumbled into a high school prom instead. “I wonder what substances those two are on” he said, nodding forward, still frowning as he brought his whiskey to his lips.
